Two handguns? :-)
Not like they're practical for anything but if you made me choose (and gave me the funds) it would be a Colt Python and Colt Walker.

Walmart BaitCasters?
Last season I picked up two 6'6'' Silver Max combos on clearance at Cabelas for $50 each, they have performed well for me especially for that price.

Red shad laminate senko
Never tried red, I did buy a pack of orangeish looking Senkos last year and did well on them. I've yet to find a color I can pin down as producing better than any others really.

3 ways to catch bass
1. Topwater! Hollow body mouse frog, or hard baits like poppers. 2. 4" or 5" T-rig Senko type bait. Not my "favorite" way to fish, but it brings them in consistently. 3. The other stuff I try, but while wishing it was topwater.

Favorite Senko Length and Why?
I use the 5" for LM, but just last year started targeting SM on the 4" using spinning gear. That tactic netted me my best SM ever at 3lb6oz on a 4" blue/black Senko.

Lake/dock owners & fisherman very rude no respect
This OP is silly. So your dad probably liked to troll for trout in the middle of the lake. That's great, however bass fishermen like to fish the shore and that includes docks. Hooking into people's boat covers is very weak though I'll agree, anyone who does that should get called on the carpet. Sadly, there are DB's in any sport and fishing is not exempt. Trout "fishermen" that use PowerBait and dump stringers full of fish in the sticks next to the launch for instance. I watched that happen last year and those guys had no shame. They kept every fish they were legally obligated to keep all day long and when they went home dumped their stringer next to the launch. Wonderful.

New BC reel isn't casting very far
One thing I saw you mention is that "the jig doesn't even fall at all now when releasing the spool". Regardless of anything else you do it will never cast like that. If you can't get it to drop via the spool tension knob you need a different reel, a heavier lure, or much lighter line. I often wonder when people mention 20 lb braid whether they mean 20 lb test braid (which would be roughly 6 lb mono diameter) or 20 lb (100 lb equivalent mono) size. That would make a huge difference as well.

First frog bass this year
This post makes me not want to log back into this forum until July out of pure jealousy. I'd frog fish all year if I could, nice job!

Is a spincast reel still a legit option?
Spincasts are the only reels I've ever seen lose their drag and lock up completely and I've seen that too many times for how many spincasts I've actually handled. I think it's that standard topside drag mechanism though, it just gets stuck. That's why I was happy to find one with a star drag for my son (Zebco Pro Staff). We'll see how it does this year going into its second season. That one greentrout posted really looks intriguing though. Too bad it doesn't have that kind of retrieval rate AND a star drag like the pro staff.

Is a spincast reel still a legit option?
Spincast reels are an inferior design compared to anything else. That said, they usually come with line spooled and ready to fish for basically anyone. That's their market. I don't see any practical advantage to using one if you are comfortable using spinning or bait casting technology. I bought a fairly nice one for my son to get used to fishing (even has a star drag) and the retrieval rate is abysmal.

Fishing around private docks, etc?
I have something like that in my yard for the neighborhood cats that think a freshly tilled garden is a litter box. Best invention ever!

Anybody Ever Get Caught Without Their License?
Never once been checked living and fishing in Washington state all my life. But I've been checked twice in Idaho. They apparently care about poaching over there. Here, not so much.

kayak hole question
This is one reason why I won't recommend the cheap SOT kayaks over SINK styles. You'll get wet, likely a lot wet. Those holes are there to drain out when it takes on water, which in theory is great (when you have a raised seat) but for the cheaper SOT's you better enjoy sitting in water a lot. For $80 though I probably try it as well, but if you plug the holes it's going to be more likely to sink if it takes on too much water over the side.

Kayak Recommendation
I think you'd have to be crazy, drunk, way too big or any combination of the three to tip over my sit inside Old Town Vapor 10. It's wide and stable, we're not talking white water kayaks here. Even then, it has plenty of foam inside for flotation I wouldn't expect it to sink. I get the draw of SOT's, but only at the price point that gets you a raised seat. Up until that point I would stick with a quality sit inside over the comparable SOT offerings.

Question
I wouldn't worry about it, bass aren't planter trout. I released a bad bleeder one time, I had no way to keep it even if I had wanted to. Never saw it floating belly up or anything so I hope it made it.

Yo Zuri Hybrid
I tried some P-Line last year, caught a nice 3lb6oz smallmouth on 6lb flouroclear. It has a lot of memory though, definitely leader material over mainline for me.

Kayak Recommendation
To me those are both in a weird spot. Cabelas lists a SOT Ocean brand "Caper" for $749, I think that would be much better quality than either of those brands. Perception Pescador also comes to mind in that price range. I'm sure there's more, I didn't shop SOT's too much.

single hooks for inline spinners
I've done this to a few Panther Martins (because you can take them apart and replace the hook) and the larger Vibrax spinners that come with a single Siwash hook. I personally dislike trebles especially on smaller lures, if I have a fish hooked and it jumps and I've got a small treble hook on it I just expect it to come off. One larger hook seems to hold better. Plus it's easier to unhook and less likely to get caught in the net or my hand.
