  9. We had to put our Cori down on September 22, she was 14 yr old half Pyrenees. She quit eating at we knew that was bad, the dog lived to eat. I think it was the very next day she couldn’t get up and somehow my wife lifted her into the car by herself (90+ lbs) and made it to the vet. We had tried to find at home euthanasia but everyone was booked out two weeks or so. Luckily I was able to race away from work and make it to the vet in time to say goodbye. Like someone posted above, only you will be able to make the decision on the right time, but the vets and friends can certainly help. I would definitely say not eating is the biggest red flag, then again we have a perfectly healthy dog that doesn’t want to eat until her brother tries to steal her food.
  10. Got some, seems like it should have been better but it’ll take it. Got 4-5 to hit a trap, that’s always fun regardless of size. Landed a few more on plastic worm, I’ve certainly done worse
  11. We have both kinds, the Alabama variety is meaner when hooked Congrats to Christie !!!
  12. No wonder you always slay the fish ! That’s a fine collection of paddle tails
  13. Which part of the TN river? With a river that old, there should always be a chance of a larger fish swimming by at any moment. Normally I would say if it’s upstream of lenoir city, it’s destined to be only small bass but the bassmaster classic proved me wrong this year 😂. I’m somewhat kidding about that as there are nice bass on the upstream end but not as many as chickamauga, guntersville, pickwick, etc
  14. ❤️ 🙏 🤲
  15. Hackney and welcher near the bottom puzzles me on this one
  16. I’ve done 5 several times in my 18.5 ft 😂 I usually just run the troller in those situations Coast guard sticker says 5 people or 605 lbs, that’s some small people

  19. Sooooooo……. Am I reading this correctly, menendez caught a 7 lber??!!!
  20. The dreaded “Alabama bass” is native to the mobile drainage. We catch them every year on the Alabama River between Montgomery and mobile, they are a blast. They will pummel a buzzbait in inches of muddy boiling hot water . They do seem to thrive in deep clear blueback herring lakes but they are very comfortable in shallow vegetation or cypress swamps. This is one of my favorite tournaments from the past to watch with spotted bass, Steve Kennedy catching them in the rapids!!!!
  21. Ike weighed in a huge spotted bass in one of the early rounds, I think it was day 1. I saw a pic online, I bet that was one heck of a fight
  22. Wild evening for me. Started kayaking from the dock after 5. I fished around and got one dink on a worm. The wind was howling somewhat backwards so I thought I should leave the creek and hit a main channel bank that I thought would be protected. On the way there, I decided to troll a grub behind the kayak while I was paddling into the wind. Lucky me , a fish smashed it pretty soon thereafter . I was using 4 lb test and ultra light gear so it was a wild ride, fish cartwheel jumping and screaming line off the reel. It finally tired out and I boated what I think was a meanmouth, just over 18”. This was an epic fight, but I still had an hour or so of daylight left. I kept dragging a worm on a riprap point and hooked into something, turned out to be a LM with two lampreys attached to it!!! Then on the way back to the ramp I trolled the same grub and got a nice white bass
