Zoom horny toad, loads of fun

I’ve actually caught 6-8 with a spinnerbait this week, which is beyond rare for me. Including my biggest of the trip last night! I threw the spinnerbait on mono tho

I’m on vacation in south Alabama and there is thick grass of all kinds everywhere. I’ve got 3 reels spooled with seaguar braid (2 with 50 lb tactx and one with 40 lb smackdown). I’ve been able to fish the water willow, stringy weeds, Lily pads, whatever with reckless abandon. The zoom horny toad, swim jig, rattle trap (I use a short leader pounce leader on the trap) and Texas rig have been my most successful baits. I have even accidentally sent a few small bass into orbit setting the hook with the horny toad. I never get to fish much grass at home so to say that I’m having fun would be an understatement!!! Love me some seaguar braid and violent hooksets, a welcome change to 6 lb mono that I use at home
