I like cleaning them almost as much as catching them. My brother even got me a book about this guy that cleans the fish at the fanciest seafood restaurant in NYC. He says, in broken English, you don’t want the knife too sharp. “Cut along bones, not through bones” My buddies are always amazed that I can sit on my heels and clean fish by the river’s edge for extended periods, practice makes perfect

Long float on Sunday with a buddy in his canoe w motor. Caught some nice SMB with worms, flukes , and flies. His motor wouldn’t go into gear about 6 miles in so we had to paddle a LONG way, barely beat darkness to the point B vehicle. Saw two eagles soaring as well

Anaya caught some really nice spotted bass this morning

Worm for regular bass, topwater and fluke for white bass

I am not at all surprised a worm outfished the spinnerbait

Had to cut some grass after work but got done around 6 in time for some kayaking. Got 3 LM and a walleye right out in front of my dock. 2 of the fish on a pumpkin chartreuse worm and 2 on a Frittside

Oh lord. Possums. Did you know me from 2007-2024 @Joedodge ? 😂 😂 😂 I’ve caught and released a million of those things. I even caught one that had mostly black fur I even just grabbed some because I saw a professor do that in wildlife classes during college, always a bad idea 😂. They seem docile until they aren’t, one of the most resilient creatures on the planet. They always walked away laughing at me I also caught one that looked just like Freddy Kruger but I can’t find the picture . It was wild
