  4. Yep. Sometimes you have to fizz them, or eat them . A lot of our reservoirs are 150 ft or deeper, I have never reeled in a dead fish
  5. I have no advice but I am full of thanks and kudos for you !! God bless America
  6. End of fishing season???? I couldn't handle that....... If you make it south we can take you fishing in shorts on Christmas.........
  7. I saw a video of a weatherman saying he was being evacuated and a dude drove right behind him in a Jon boat with a tiller steer
  8. I have been accused of sleep reeling several times
  9. Oh it will sink.......
  10. I've stood right there a few times! Thanks for the post
  11. People troll downriggers for trout here and routinely catch largemouth all the way down to 55-60 ft. And they are often suspended over water 100+ ft just following baitfish. And people vertical jig smallies from over 60 ft down
  12. A little smallmouth barfed this little smallmouth into my boat two days ago. They are cannibals
  13. Field and stream magazine did a flipping stick comparison based on several variables years ago and the lightning rod graded out almost as high as all the other expensive ones. I seem to remember the article saying something like “virtually indestructible for horsing big fish out of heavy cover”
  14. Oh no! Ask the river gods if I can have all mine back too........ I like to use swim jigs in late summer and fall when there’s grass I can’t fish through with anything else. Almost like snatching a rattle bait through the cabbage, so I go with a stout rod. They usually hit the jig really hard so sensitivity takes a backseat for me . The hard part is not getting excited about all the drum that thump the jig
  15. I have a very similar dream over and over where there was a class I signed up for but never remembered to go to
  16. Thought this sauger was a catfish in the dark
  17. Smallmouth fishing can be pretty excellent in the Knoxville area in March. Come down a day or two early and fish!
  18. I’ve never witnessed a cold front in the summer. For a general rule of thumb to throw out that applies locally for me: this time of year, smallmouth with eat everything they can see or feel or smell
  19. I've lost a bunch that swelled up and exploded . Mostly strike King because that's as high dollar as I go. Yet another reason to just fish plastic worms. Ralala husky jerk will also do it. The busted lures are now what I use to throw at gar
  20. Northern Michigan? Sorry I couldn't resist
  21. They make a thermometer for that. I want to say it’s called fish hawk
  22. I was just about to say, I was born without a rear end therefore my pants are always falling down. I wear bibs so the cool breeze doesn’t blow into my crack!!
