  1. The actual leader or length from the hook to the weight?
  2. I have only been out once this year. I’ll be hitting Morse next Saturday. I’ll probably hit a couple ponds this weekend.
  3. 18 inches is usually the length I go with. I barely fish it vertically so dragging the weight will lower the bait because of the angle.
  4. Anyone seen any spawning activity yet?
  5. I throw senkos and Ochos, have tried others but these are my bread and butter and the only thing I will spend money on and recommend.
  6. Good God! Those are some nice bags. Good stuff.
  7. Get the Ballistic LT if ur willing to pay full price for the Ike reel.
  8. I have yet to catch a fish in deep water on the drop shot. I have caught them between 1-9 feet of water.
  9. I’m gonna steal that, I hate EWG hooks.
  10. Zakos are all I use.
  11. If you’re in the back of the boat more than 5 can get tricky.
  12. I would send it in to Daiwa or a professional reel repairmen or women for maintenance. I got the Ballistic LT which is pretty much the same reel and I love it.
  13. I can get a 1/2 ounce Chatterbait and rat-l-trap 50 plus yards. The only time I really bomb those baits is when I’m in a large grass flat trying to cover water. I coach youth football so I was able to verify this at a football field.
  14. I say get medium powered spinning rod over medium light
  15. 3/0 Gamakatsu Finesse Widegap...... Thank me later
  16. If the bites vibrate rapidly it’s bluegill. I personally miss a lot of fish with EWG hooks, switch to a 3/0 or 4/0 offset round hook and I guarantee you will have better hookups. Some love EWGs but I can’t catch a cold with them.
  17. War Eagle Wake Spinnerbait (Double Colorado) War Eagle Tamdem Spinnerbait (Indiana and Colorado) both half ounce.
  18. I still don’t think I got my Curado dialed in correctly. I think braided line’s manageability is saving me. Flourocarbon would probably give me some fits.
  19. I would go with the Tatula. Easier to dial in. But to be all the way honest my frog reel is a Curado I.
  20. Flouro, mono, or copolymer leader. Good knot tying is a must.
  21. Use backing whether it is cheap mono or left over braid that won’t fill up an entire spool. Some line conditioner won’t hurt.
  22. I like your thinking. I got a Curado I and it’s solid but not trying risk having a well known issue. But the SLX seems like a steal for its price point.
