  1. I’m not the best swimmer but I keep my PFD on the entire time I’m out on the water no matter if it’s 3 feet or 30 feet.
  2. Go for it, just use Pay Pal as an extra layer of protection.
  3. I actually work in insurance those items should be covered under a standard homeowner or renters policy. Who appraises fishing gear anyway? They are not making sense. Make sure you save your receipts. They assigned your claim claim to SIU because of the high dollar amount and they thought you were trying to fraud them. But you had your stuff together and all the documentation and receipts so they had to pay up. Typical with insurance companies, they want your premiums but don’t want to pay out any claims.
  4. 1/2 ounce is all I carry
  5. Right around 3 pounds give it take.
  6. That can be a fact, someone actually told me to loosen my drag to prevent bending out the hooks. But now I use stouter g-finesse hooks instead of the rebarbs when I t-rig Roboworms and have yet to have the issue again. I only keep the drag super lose when I nose hook.
  7. I’ve bent out a light whire hook with a medium rod, so I’m sure a medium heavy can do the same.
  8. Both of my finesse rods are medium powered. I don’t like feeling underpowered and they are more versatile. The light wire hooks I use are a bit on the stouter side.
  9. A lot of rods that are labeled “glass” are actually composite which I prefer. My chatterbait rod is the old 7’2” medium heavy rod with the foam grips.
  10. Don’t use a light wire hook because you will have a high chance of straightening it out.
  11. As a co-angler I’m limited to 5. Dropshot, Spinnerbait, Chatterbait, and jig are guaranteed to come with me. The 5th rod will depend on the body of water and what the fish like at that time of year.
  12. Medium Heavy for me, no matter the cover. If there is cover or not a medium heavy will have me set. The only mediums I use are spinning rods for drop shot. I don’t like feeling under powered on hook sets.
  13. Gamakatsu G-Finesse heavy cover worm hook in a size 1. Designed by A-Mart.
  14. I would buy 2 curados and use the left over money on something else.
  15. I am assuming that you are shopping 10-15 pound braid for spinning set up. If so Sufix 832 will be better choice with it being an 8 carrier braid while regular Power Pro is a 4 carrier braid. 8 carrier braids are better for spinning set ups since they lay on the spool easier for spinning set ups.
  16. Based off the picture it looks like you have a 3700 box with bunch of empty space to accommodate a few hooks. Those work better for lures. I used a thin 3500 box and my hooks never get out of place. They may tangle but that does bother me.
  17. I wasn’t even born in 85. If that rod just now broke you got a life sentence and more out of that rod. That’s cool that they replaced it.
  18. Just get out there and have fun. Don’t take the many Ls that you will receive personal, tournament fishing def has a learning curve and getting schooled is inevitable. You will learn a whole lot.
  19. U must set the hook like Fat Cat
  20. All my t-rigs and drop shots are snelled.
  21. U might of foul hooked a carp if there were scales on the hook. I’m curious as to what brand the two middle hooks because they look weird and I have never seen any EWG hooks with such a short neck. It’s hard to believe that a 1.5 pounder would bend those hooks out. I boatflip 3+ pounder with 1/0 g-finesse hooks and with no bending of any sort. Did you buy those hooks yourself or did someone give them to you and told you what brand they were? I hate EWG hooks because I can never get a good hookset with them but to each is own. I recommend using an offset round bend hook if u want to t-rig your senkos.
  22. I have yet to catch to a spotted bass, but my day will come.
  23. I spent $407 at tackle warehouse.
  24. I have the 7’4” heavy avid x and have never had a problem with the leader getting caught. I was throwing 50 pound braid with a 16# flouro leader. Use the Albright knot and not a uni to uni
