  1. Crochet zeroed? Yikes! I sucked then!
  2. 1: I love it when Catt, RoLo, and WRB debate. We get so much valuable info thrown our way 2: I feel bad for the poor saps who pay for this type of info. 3: keep up the good work fellas, I say we do this once a month. Who's with me? ?
  3. I know, wishful thinking on my behalf.
  4. What a crock there's no Live today. I've been busting my hump all morning so I could take a longer lunch and watch a bit of it.
  5. I'm not too confident with my picks, fingers crossed. Good luck gentleman!
  6. Me too, as we both sit here with envy looking at the clock every 45 seconds.
  7. And so it begins....que the entrance music! ? I'm guessing A-Jay is out on his as we speak.
  8. Maybe I'll get slaughtered for this but.... Grilled or boiled? I prefer my dogs boiled, my brats grilled.
  9. Here in central Michigan, I haven't gotten out nearly as much as I usually do. With the weather, my son still in school, and his t-ball it's taken up most of my time. When I have gotten out the smallies are in the creeks, the wife caught 4 LMB last Saturday when we took the boat out, no size to them. I've yet to catch a LMB this year. Neither species appeared to have spawned yet. I did see Lake Michigan's water temp at shore was 58 the other day, that was by Holland for what its worth.

I have a few Huk shirts and absolutely love them! They are very comfortable, not restricting, and keep you cool. They have pants and shorts ( I haven't used). They also have a hooded shirt made for warm weather, which would eliminate the exposed neck some have referred to.
  12. I'll take the Tatula off your hands if you're that unhappy with it. ?
  13. Dang. I saw your avitar pop up under screen shots and was hoping you were posting some MEGA shots....
  14. Melting point of sugar is 366 degrees Fahrenheit. There's only one way to find out....
  15. They lasted 7 years. I'd say you got your money's worth. If you think about 7 years of sun, rain, hot, and cold it's going to wear out.
  16. That's how I'm thinkin. Update: I got skunked tonight....the wife caught 4 on her Senko.
  17. I've been bass fishing for 15 plus years but the past few years I've really decided to get serious about it and more technical. I read the magizines, watch the shows, but since joining BR in October I've dove in even more. Lately I've been reading "best of posts" and others. Like I've said I read and learned over the years, so I've read about structure, breaks, transitions, and everything else that goes along with it. It's turkey hunting season in Michigan and I'm able to hunt the farm land across the road from me. I was walking my dog the other day and it hit me, "bass are preditors and so am I, we think a like". So what I did next really changed in my mind the way I'll approach fishing. I looked at this 200 or so acres of land as a lake and I was standing on the bottom. The tress were the shore and some areas come out into a point, here you have great ambush points, there are a couple "pot holes" we'll call them another great area to hide. In the middle of the field sits a giant oak tree, you have tree stumps along the road, when the crops are up part is corn part is beans, the area where the two meet. If I understand correctly all these areas would be key areas if it were a lake correct? If I'm correct these are also great areas for prediters (me) to hide/ambush prey (turkey). The prediter thinking is the same no matter what species you are. Like I've said I've read a ton, especially lately and to put all the pieces together and see it in front of me, instead of just reading is a big help. I hope I'm on the right track and if I'm not please steer me in the right direction. Like I told T9 I've only scratched the surface but this makes me eager to learn more. Thanks to Catt, Rolo,T9, WRB, and everyone else for sharing your knowledge with all of us, it truely is appreciated.
  18. The In-Fisherman article I referenced actually mentioned the weather like you said (rain, wind, run off, ect.) being the likely factor in fish shutting down instead of the barometric pressure. Sounds like you could've hit the nail on the head.
  19. In-Fisherman has an interesting article about barometric pressure (Google barometric pressure and fishing). Basically it says there's no scientific evidence to prove it effects fish. One point I found interesting, fish with gas bladders experience more of a pressure change by moving up or down a foot or two than any major weather event recorded ( I paraphrased that ). All I know is it sure does something to them, maybe it just make them moody for a bit, they sure are tough to catch during this time.
  20. Make a small mounting platform that is level.
  21. That's up to the mods to make the decision about your conduct. I will say it is in very poor taste. It's quite a parent you have a bone to pick with the OP, you're trolling, or a bone to pick with BR. Either way what's the point?
  22. He got me Saturday when I bought my wife a new spinning set up. I really like it and want one too. A wise man once said to me "it's better to ask for forgiveness than to ask permission". Any truth to this? ?
  23. Looks good! After installing you feel they'll last a while?
  24. Interesting. I always thought the clearer the water the lighter the fish. Is the bottom a dark color? Kind of looks like it could be in the picture. Either what you said makes sense, if they hide in the shadows or cracks I could see how they'd be darker colored.
