  1. I haven't fished up there before so I won't be able to help you out.
  2. Can't go wrong with another Black Max or Pro Max. Just pull the trigger, you won't be disappointed just like you weren't on the first one you bought. ?
  3. Great festivals to attend in my part of Michigan: Fremont has the baby food festival Edmore has the potato festival Trufant has the stump fence festival (now called Trufant jubilee) No joke
  4. Never thought about that. That's a good possibility.
  5. I'm not sitting too bad right now except for J-Pow and a big question mark with Niggemyer other than that I have: Christie Rojas Ehrler
  6. I imagine that's been thought of and addressed. Maybe they have some weights they carry around to make sure the scales stay true. I totally get what you're saying, I have to believe there's checks and balances in place to make sure everything's the same across the while field. If my ignorant brain thought of it surely somebody at B.A.S.S. has thought about it.
  7. I read that the marshals took a 2 he class yesterday on how to do everything the way they want it done, and the marshals are random people like every tourney, along with B.A.S.S nation anglers. Like you said Senko lover the human error factor is always going to be there with that many people weighing bass especially if they're different people every event. I imagine they've thought about this and have tried to set procedures in place to keep the human error out of it though. I think this is the direction B.A.S.S events are heading, which I honestly don't think is a bad idea as far as conservation goes.
  8. I'm wondering if it's the format. They are going to keep one fish to show at weigh-in then keep track (weigh, measure, release) of the other 4 heaviest fish.
  9. What are your opinions of the format for this event? I don't thinks it's a bad idea, maybe lacking visually at weight in but you only see the big fish for a second at weigh-ins anyways. Bassmater Live won't be any different.
  10. I'm right there with ya.
  11. Last year for me. I had my 6 year old with me. He and I decided to cast at the same time and we got tangled behind us. Biggest nest I've ever had. Tried at least 15 times to get it out. Watched a YouTube video "guaranteed to get out a backlash" suckered me in....it didn't work, think it made it worse!
  12. Was it caught on camera? I think we'd all like to see it. ?
  13. It's a great reel! I have a couple of them. They cast pretty far. I use one for weightless Senkos. That one has 10lb fluoro and I have another with 65lb braid.
  14. If it ain't broke don't fix it. You're catching them on consecutive casts with "normal" techniques. You'll be better off then they will after a day of fishing. I've never had luck with the A-rig either.
  15. I was just looking at Bassmaster and saw an advertisement for Nines optics. I've never heard of them so I checked out their website and they're priced right around $90. They have 8 or so different frame styles and lenses colors. Have any of you tried them, heard anything about them good or bad?
  16. Welcome!
  17. I love the Black max and Pro max I have several of each. The Silvermax I'm not a big fan of. The other two though you can't beat.
  18. You should always listen to your kids...they know best.
  19. You make due with what you have. In the words of Boceifus... "A country boy can survive"
  20. It surely isn't impossible at all. I was in full panic mode thinking I've completely missed the spawn. Don't do that to me. ?
  21. Spawned out already?
  22. Post pictures when you get them on.
  23. 3 knees? If they removed one then you'd only have 2 bad knees instead of 3! I'm glad I could help. ?
  24. Well done. I wouldn't mind seeing more segments like that.
  25. X2 on the hdsi transducer. Don't open the package if you're going to exchange it.
