  1. Thanks man good info... I have watched those videos when he talks about the 60/40 backbone/ tip there're very helpful. And yeah the design looks amazing definitely a +. Yup me to, I have heard nothing but good about these rods. I haven't handled one though would you say they are a light rod weight wise?
  2. Well I am talking about the dobyns fury rod mag heavy 7'3" so what I got from this is that a dobyns mag heavy is in between a heavy and Xheavy(5 1/2)
  3. I believe they call it Fred's frog stick on tw. This seems like a common rod must have something good about it
  4. Thanks that makes me feel confident in my decision
  5. Thanks man great info where could I find that "Fred's magic stick" I tried *** couldn't find it maybe I over looked but still couldn't find it.
  6. I was wondering is 7'3" to short for frogging/punching. I know a lot of people are probably going to say 7'6"-8" but does that 3-9inches make a difference?
  7. Does anyone have any information on this rod like is it light weight, sensitive, etc. I particularly interested in the 6'10" ML or 7" medium for drop shot and wacky rig. Any info will help!
  8. Haha but I heard there power are usually a power lower than listed for example a heavy is like a medium heavy etc.
  9. Do you own a veritas? If so is it sensitive, light, do the powers actually feel like there suppose to for example does a medium feel like a medium? I was considering buying one.
  10. I wanted to see your guys opinion on what you think would be the best punching/frogging rod for under $130. Also feel free to comment what reel.
  11. Yeah I'm also thinking the 735 because there both the same price and the 735 and handle heavier weights needed for punching I went on to the the dobyns website and it says the 735 can handle 1/4- 1 1/2
  12. Yeah that's what I also heard. Thanks Never thought of that before but makes total sense I have always just looked at the power, action, and length. Great info The dobyns fury 735 mag heavy
  13. Yeah I heard dobyns powers are usually lighter than there listed. Thanks that helped
  14. Wow 2.9 that's light... Yea I want to buy the dobyns fury rod 7'3" mag heavy for punching and frogs but it's 5.7 oz's I was wondering if that heavy or not for a 109$ rod
  15. I ask because I want to buy a dobyns fury rod which is 5.7 oz's (I've been told ). I already own a black max rod and wanted to see how heavy the black max is compared to the dobyns. Yeah I think it will be heavy also just curious how it compares to some rods I want to buy.
  16. I was wondering what is a mag heavy? I have heard it is two powers higher than a heavy power. Is that true? And would a mag heavy be to heavy for punching and frogging?
  17. I was wondering how heavy weight wise in oz's is a black max rod? I've looked all over the Internet and couldn't find it.
  18. Yeah that's what a lot of people are saying. You don't think it will be too heavy because are mag heavy's 2 powers higier than heavy?
  19. I want to buy a rod for punching, frogging, and heavy jigs. I decided dobyns fury line would be a great choice, however I don't know if I should get the 734 or 735. Which one should I get for punching, frogging, and heavy jigs 734 or 735?
  20. I was considering buying one of dobyns fury casting rods, but I have heard they are 5.7 oz's in a YouTube video. I don't know if that is true, but if it is would that be a heavy weight for a rod that cost 109$?
