  1. 6'6" Zillion mh/f with 12# invisx. Trigs & finesse jigs. I really like like it but would consider the reg tat Ct at $79 from American legacy fishing too.
  2. Actually fished mine today for the first time also. I really liked it.
  3. I had the same idea but was waiting for 50% off plus. Went back after everything went from 40% to 50% and it was really picked over. For whatever reason there is still a ton of Rapala stuff. Other than that it's pretty wiped out. They had a couple of rods I was thinking about getting but never pulled the trigger.
  4. Great reel. I have a few. I picked up a Tat SV with the code for $140!
  5. My recommendation is the Palomar Knot. Very easy to tie and very strong.
  6. I'm looking at the website now. Great prices on everything. Really cool. Thank you.
  7. I'm not familiar with the JDM stuff. Why is it so much cheaper than retail here ($419)? That is very intriguing.
  8. Okuma is one of his long time sponsors. They are bigger in the salt water game but it hasn't translater over to bass fishing.
  9. I'm in between these reels for my next purchase. I've done all of the research on the basics of both but wanted to see if anyone has experience with these reels. They are both fairly new so there aren't a ton of reviews online. Overall they are both very positive. Anybody?
  10. For me a M/F rod for weightless senkos, light shaky heads, trick worms, etc. Fishing those on a MH makes the rod feel like a broomstick to me. The M rods load up much better. I have a Tatula casting rod made for drop shotting/finesse type stuff that I've been using lately.
  11. Have you gotten this rod out on the water yet? I'm about to pull the trigger on this and possibly the Zillion SV TW. I wish they made a non-AGS in the elite series. I don't see a Tat Elite (non AGS) comparable to this rod. It sounds perfect for weightless presentations.
  12. That's a good price!
  13. Thanks for the advice guys. Getting a new fuel pump put on now.
  14. *meant to quote @NHBull It's not that I disagree I just think we (bass fisherman) tend to overestimate the fish and I'm legitimately curious. It is my feeling, based on no concrete evidence, that it would be very difficult for a fish to notice subtle differences in fall rate and action. I see a difference in the fall rate but my brain can also make a lot more calculations per second than the LMB. To me the difference in action is negligible to my eye. Thoughts?
  15. Do you really think, all things being equal, that there are scenarios where you make the same cast to the same spot and one would get bit and another wouldnt?
  16. "No Place Like" Texas
  17. BPS Stik-O. I got two packs at $9.98 each. Ordered them from the website. I can't remember if it was Christmas or the spring sale.
  18. Picked up a Daiwa Zillion rod on the auction site today for what I feel like is a good deal (about $55 off of retail). It's the 6'6" MH/F model. I pitch in a lot of small canals/dock areas with different amounts of lilly pads. That's why I bought it among other reasons. Anybody have any experience with the specific model? TW had on review on it that looked pretty solid. I've got my eye on another M/F model as well.
  19. I think all of the 110's are silent but I could be mistaken.
  20. During a Christmas sale (I think) I got a couple of the 50 packs for $9.98.
  21. Yes, be careful when tying these hooks. I learned the hard way. If you get it through the spring loop your line will snap when you set the hook.
  22. I throw 1/8th oz, heavier if windy or deep
  23. I used to buy every color that I thought looked cool. Now it's watermelon magic, junebug, and chartreuse.
  24. I've caught plenty on the pink stik-o. I usually will fish them when the water is muddy. Time of year doesn't matter too much for me.
  25. I have my boat at the shop right now but man do they take forever this time of year. I'm just checking to see if anyone may have a decent idea of what's going on. Maybe I can even fix it myself. When I get up on plane and am at 5000-6000rpm I will cruise along normally for some amount of time and all of a sudden something happens and the rpms go down drastically causing what I can only describe as a lunge. The boat starts lunging forward. I'll back off the throttle, pump the fuel ball (which is loose at this point) and continue on my way until it does it again. It was sometimes a few trips between when it was doing that but I took it in because it was happening every 30 seconds or so. My thought process is that it's something related to the fuel pump/fuel pressure. What do you guys think? I'm not very mechanical or great at describing this so please let me know if more detail would help. I just want to fish!
