I have a Tourney Special from a year and a half ago (still works fairly well, although I can't wait to upgrade) and I fish it with all brakes off, even when changing from light to heavy lures.

Would you ever be willing to resell them?

I would just get a Curado, they're 150 due to a price drop and you might be able to find them for cheaper.

There are also Guadalupe bass, Suwanee bass, red-eyed bass...

At BPS yesterday, the Curados weren't listed as on sale, they were just listed at $150.

Once you do fish with it, can you compare its sensitivity to a Mojo? I'm hunting for a MH texas rig/jig/sitting on the bottom baits rod for under $150/

Its not so much what the creature looks like, but the action it has.

It's really nice. I like the length and give of it for moving baits.

I think Shimano Stile is a really cool baitcaster although I haven't ever used it. Today, I used a Chronarch for the first time and it was pretty amazing, although not super wow honestly. I would say its the best reel at its price range though, as it was a challenge to get it to backlash and its super smooth.

You gotta put more time in the Texas rig, it's caught me so many fish.

I guess I should add my own: buzz baits, spinnerbaits, and drop shot. I've put time into these lures and they have not produced. I guess all the hype surrounding them is fake and is only made to spite me into buying more varieties in hopes of success.

It had the round handle, so the one that's a year old. I would have grabbed it if I hadn't already picked up my Nasci and put line on it.

I saw a 2016 Shimano Stradic Ci4+ on eBay for just $90. Figured I would just put that out here, as many people consider those to be the best.

I like inline spinners at different weights for targeting multiple species, and those will work for all the species you mentioned. I mainly use some old fashioned ones, and they catch everything!

Honestly, line is up to what you are willing to use and deal with. While heavier line provides a better fail-safe, you also get worse memory in the line, as well as knots that aren't as strong. I personally just use 10 lb and feel if covers me perfectly well, put if you know you're going to catch some big bass, maybe go a little heavier.

Or looking through our plastics, glancing at the bubblegum colors, and totally pretending they aren't there.

Whats your favorite thing to throw on a carolina rig in muddy water? Hey, bubble gum doesn't work for me either.

I have seen a few people say "I won't throw this" even though said lure works well. What are some lures you will not buy/use even if they are effective for others?

Keitech, Gambler, and Havoc are what I've had experience with and all performed well. Base the shape and length of the main forage, I like Rage Craws on my swim jigs

I've read about these too, and how some big bass anglers will memorize a big mama basses run so that they can catch her just before she spawns at her biggest size possible.

Thats awesome. Maybe we'll have to start using trailer hooks on Ned Rigs too if you had a fish grab it from another.

Could I also use it for crankbaits or jerk Baits?

I tie a mono leader onto my braid for texas and other non moving rigs. I like it because I can snap the knot if its a real bad snag, instead of cutting the braid. If you cut off 10 feet of braid everytime you get snagged, eventually you'll start casting to your backing and have to remove all that braid and put on a whole new spool, which is a waste. Its also just a confidence thing for me.

Today, the Bait Monkey knocked me out and drove me to Scheels to look around. This little monkey tried to convince me to buy a spook, two frogs, some D-Bombs, some Senko's, some Rage Craws, and a few hardbaits. I turned to that Bait Monkey and I punched him in the face, and drove home, leaving him in the store with no money. I WON (for the first time ever)!
