I would recommend the dobyns fury. Dobyns warranty is one of the best you will find. Depending on what size jigs you are thinking I would do the five power dobyns (Mag heavy) which is more of a standard heavy in the market (like dink whisperer said above about being a power lighter).

I have been thinking about getting into making my own bass jigs, or at a minimum replacing skirts with hand tied living rubber/silicon combinations. Where is the best place you have found to buy living rubber and any preferences on the different types? Also tips or tricks you have developed with your experiences would be appreciated. I have a vice, bobbin and some thread ordered and on its way to get started.

I haves used invisx and although it is good there is too much stretch for my liking. Sunline sniper gets my vote when considering value for the money.
