  1. I am going to be staying on a houseboat down there with my family during the last weekend of July with my family and I haven't fished down there in several years and was wondering what would be my best bet. I will be up around Caney Creek more than likely and will only have my small little v-hull with me. Any help would be great.
  2. Congrats cous. Tell amy we all said hey and good job. Now on the shirt you trying to get a few free for the product placement there. ;D
  3. I fish out of the Louisa Bass club out of Ky it is about an hour and half to the main lake but we travel all over to fish. Check it out at louisabassclub.com.
  4. When I get to go fish Yatesville but since joining a club in Feb I have been trying a few new places.
  5. My cousin Cigarlover showed it to me. It has been great place to learn and get a few questions answered.
  6. My go to line is still Triline xtra tough or xl. XT for my spinnerbaits and worm fishing and xl for my crankbaits. I have tried others but I seem to always go back to these two.
  7. Congrats on the new PB it is a great feeling when you get one like that.
  8. Great looking bucnh of fish.
  9. I cast my DS more than vertical aswell. If you are going to cast it remember to leav a little tag line for the sinker due to the line being at an angle.
  10. Find the pattern. What is working in one spot on the lake will work others. Pay attention to what makes this location unique and apply it to other spots on the lake.
  11. I wonder if he was able to figure something out or if she hung him up by his fishing line. :
  12. Congrats it is always cool when something new works.
  13. I would not have gotten rid of my Bass boat a few years ago. I would have learned more techniques than just throwing a t-rigged worm for so many years.
  14. He's a little older and we got run out of the house alot when we were kids. ;D Our Moms couldn't stand litsening to us.

    Welcome to the site.
  17. The map is an Old 1820's map. That is what things looked like before Texas broke free from Mexico and the U.S./Mexico War (happened right before the Civil War). NOt the best of Maps to use in any Ad campaign but you don't see it very often.
  18. Been fishing for as long as I can remember. There are pictures of me fishing going back to the earliest ones. I grew up in a family that loved it. My Grandparents owned a houseboat on Cave Run lake in NE Kentucky and with it being only a hour away it made it real easy to go on the weekends and most of the summer.
  19. I would have to say patience is my main strength. I don't let a slow start get to me.
  20. When I do drink it is split between Wild Turkey and Makers Mark. In enjoy both it alot depends on what I have or what is behind the bar at the Resturant.
  21. Look for transition areas. how it works is Bass will move from deep to shallow so look around drop offs when water gets to around 50-60 degrees. Work with crankbaits and jerkbaits in these areas. and good luck.
  22. That is wild looking.
  23. We have a club tournament there in a couple of weeks and we were talking the other day that it would be a good time to through some crankbaits so you might want to look into that.
