My wife doesn't fish very much only enough to say she goes out with me. My kids like it but my daughter is the only one that will set there with a pole and not move till she gets a bite.

I've read Ike's book a couple of times now and loved it. For my birthday I got a book called Catching Bass like a Pro by Guy Eaker. It was really informative and good read. I have gone through it a coule of times already too.

I would have to say using it. Look at it and buying it is great but no point in buying if you aren't using.

Kentucky is $20 fo a resident fishing license. There is a $5 trout stamp fee.

Welcome to the site. If the water is that slow moving you might be able to go with some type of topwater bait.

I will release bass when they are caught but I do spend sometime out crappie fishing and will keep them to eat.
