  1. It's all personal preference. Most guys on a budget prefer braid-leader
  2. Heart break has set in, in southern indiana. Lost a giant at the bank. Wrapped me up in a brush pile and I wrestled her out. Had no choice but to try and get her head up on the rocks to reach her, she made one last run on short, beat up line and that's all she wrote. Not sure how big but it looked as big or bigger than my 7.2. 12" worm is what she bit
  3. 20Lb mono is too thick. 10Lb braid is too thin 10Lb braid would be good for a spinning reel
  4. 40Lb kastking braid. 15Lb big game or trilene xl or xt
  5. 10Lb is really light. Spiderwire isn't very good braid
  6. 15Lb kastking braid, fg or Alberto knot, 6-10lb mono
  7. My aresal. From left to right: 6'9 ml custom bushido, cheapo reel 6'9 m lews mach 1 combo 6'10 m zodias, cabelas prodigy 7'0 m forbidden rod, cabelas prodigy 7'0 MH lews tp1, lews ssg1 7'0 MH lews tp1, curado 200I 7'0 H daiwa fuego, tatula ct type r 7'3 H lews tp1, daiwa fuego 7'3 mag H fury, tatula sv x2 7'4 H falcon bucoo, tatula ct 7'5 MH cabelas crankshaft, fuego 7'6 MH denali rosewood, lews mcs 7'11 H daiwa fuego, tatula ct
  8. Creatures, craws, and lizzards I've had success in wacky rigged.
  9. I'd rather put a swimbait trailer on mine and catch em on the normal hook than use a trailer.
  10. Any modern reel would be fine.
  11. I like gamakatsu g-lock ewg's
  12. Are you using 20Lb red mono? If you are, senkos won't cooperate well with them. Try 6Lb big game. Cheap and reliable
  13. Yes, casting distsnce, poor handling, action of your lure, diving depth on Crankbaits. 20Lb mono is fairly large line. Most people only use this for big swimbaits, Alabama rigs, or heavy cover.
  14. Post spawn for me means deep water or the closest access to it and topwater near vegetation. I know, very vague answers but food for thought none-the-less
  15. The only type of fishing I like is bass and red ear fishing. I've been deep sea fishing, catfish fishing, crappie fishing, trot lining, bank lining etc. And the only reason I like red ear or bluegill fishing is because my grandpa loves to take us grandkids bluegill and read ear fishing
  16. I would suggest the 734 or 7'4 heavy falcon Bucoo sr
  17. Assassin is great line. Super slick and handles amazingly, I have only used assassin so cannot speak to the other lines. I have read that people like assassin for jerkbaits/cranks. But I have used it for jigs and worms as well and was tickled pink with the performance

Both I've fished 8+ feet visibility and all they'd eat was a black and blue craw. I've fished 2" of visibility and caught one of my top 10 bass on a green pumpkin jig.
  19. Must be. I think I got quote for around $15 and inch. And with my 23" on that out me at $345 and that was the cheapest guy I have found near me. Plenty of guys do deer/ducks. But only 2 do fish
  20. 3-400 dollars won't touch a decent replica. It will barely touch a crappy skin mount. Unless your pb is 12 inches.
  21. I only know one person with electronics in their boat and I've never bass fished from their boat. And I believe I don't do too bad
  22. Yes that's the rod I have. And like you stated they are stout rods. It's a beast of a stick. Love it. I would use it as a frog rod but prefer a 7' for that
