  1. I like kastking and daiwa j-braid x4. 50 or 65 pound test for heavy vegetation, spinning gear and frogs. Anything else I use fluoro, mono, or copolymer.
  2. The rod gets a lot of praise. Of I needed a rod to throw those type baits it would be on my list. As far as the reel goes, I am a daiwa fan and would probably grab a tatula ct in a 5 or 6 speed. Never handled a quantum reel
  3. Same place I'd fish if it wasn't slop. Fish still related to structure and cover even if there is vegetation. But now there is weed lines and shade lines to pin point as well. Find a spot with hard bottom, or a point that tapers off and has a weed line on it and it's possible you could find fish. Also, I try to keep my presentations as vertical as possible to make it easier to fish as well as making it easier to get fish up and out of the vegetation
  4. @stubinater grab a blue olive as well
  5. I love the magnum rage bug And 5 inch pit boss
  6. Yes. It's got a pretty stout and good weedguard. It swims well too.
  7. What happened? He acts like he murdered someone.
  8. I've always thought it was because they were grown back from being dulled from eating craws in the spring so they get longer/sharper by eating baitfish/worms/lizzard/frogs
  9. People that weigh in 1 minute late to tournies, beat me by 3 ounces and cost me $250.
  10. Anybody ever drop shot a lizzard? Holy crap I whacked em on it the other morning. Then all I could think of was thin lizzy
  11. Terminator pro series jigs Magnum rage bugs Strike king red eye shad
  12. Got the tiki torches lit, flowers planted, and a few cold ones in the cooler
  13. I like topwater at night I'm almost any water temps
  14. I like it. Looks similar to my favorite off the shelf jig, the terminator pro series casting jig.
  15. Is that one you pour blue?
  16. I've had that happen to me. I figured it was normal.
  17. Looks to be about 24-26 inches long so I'm going with 9.46lbs
  18. 30Lb braid you could use. But mono or fluoro will be too large.
  19. Nice! I like a 7" senko on a jig as well. Wack rigged or regular
  20. Tp1 is a great rod. Super powerful. I have the 7'3 version. May look I to a 765 fury from dobyns.
  21. I've got 20Lb big game on one of mine. Handles just fine for pitching ultra heavy cover with a 3/8 to 3/4 ounce weight. 17Lb fluoro on the other for big spinnerbaits and chatterbait. Once again works perfectly.
  22. Shhhhhhh!!! I like black or white for almost all baits. Skirted jigs and spinnerbaits I can accent with the color of my trailer.
  23. Kastking, daiwa j-braid, and power pro are the types I've used. Prefer the daiwa j-braid x4
  24. I'll never use lead again. Check prices of tungsten here. Omfishingsinkers.com
  25. I'd just get the 4/0 hooks. The 2/0 will cover anything the 3's would. And the 4/0 will cover anything the 3's would plus bigger up to anything needing a 5/0. Just my opinion. I only buy odd numbered sizes of hooks. 1/0-7/0
