  1. Booyah pond magic
  2. Magnum ole monster
  3. Brent ehler has a video on YouTube of how to set up mag z brakes. They are some of the best brake systems I've used. They are nearly fool proof and set and forget
  4. In June, the 12" worm on a big football head or standard Texas rig will (should) be money
  5. Your line had some type of abrasion on it and probably dug in on the spool and then broke off. 25Lb braid is really small line. Especailly for frogs
  6. First and second wave are done possibly some late spawners finishing up here. But most are post spawn. And I'm way South of everyone
  7. I do this if I'm fishing a jig or Texas rig and the fish bites at the top of my "hop" and ibdont get a great first hook set in him. Especially with fluorocarbon
  8. Bowfishing will be the quickest and most effective way to get them out. The first one will be easy to get out if you hit it, the second may take a few times of going out because it will be skiddish after you shoot the first time.
  9. I'll take 146 of the black ones lol. Those look great as well.
  10. They fish way better than their price implies. One of my favorites. Best reel under $100 in my opinion. I use one for super heavy cover pitching and it hasn't failed me yet.
  11. I've had to call customer service because my top top guide insert came loose and I called them to get a replacement. It was a short and sweet phone call which resulted in a new top sent out to me arriving in 3 days with no payment from me
  12. A place where the topwater bite is hot and everyone else is using buzzbaits, 110's, and 130's. I've never fished a whopper plopper and probably never will but if I did I'd buy the 190 size exclusively.
  13. I have had my stuff quoted, and also bought some of their used stuff. They usually buy low and sell low. It would be worth it for me to trade my stuff in since they are only 25 minutes down the road. Anyone else I feel like shipping would eat you alive in rods under $200
  14. That looks like a nice bait. Would look good on a shakey head I think.
  15. A new combo is much cheaper than carpal tunnel. I'd suggest a daiwa tat sv or curado 70 for the reel.
  16. Drop-shotting, buzzbaits, and anything that you drag, like a football jig or carolina rig. I'm working on the last two because I enjoy fishing slow and deep and I know these will be effective for me once I put in the work and learn them. Buzzbaits and drop-shot equipment has all been stored away as I'm not too worried about learning these techniques.
  17. I'll mention a rod company that I feel like a lot of people overlook, and Thats falcon. I have been super impressed with my Bucoo sr casting rod. It's right up there with my tp1 speed sticks and fury's. Not my favorite rod due to the Eva handles. But easily in my top 5. On the reel side of it, I'm a big fan of the tatula and fuego lines by daiwa. Also have w lews lfs and a Shimano curado. All fish good but that tatula line and the price you can get them at is hard to beat.
  18. Gamakatsu g-lock hook or owner jungle flipping hook when throwing Texas rigs for me. Not a fan of cps springs

That plan or pattern is fine and dandy until you put the other competitors in the lake and they are in all of your good spots catching yourblimit of fish. On the fly, correct decisions win tournaments.
  20. I never threw them until a few years ago rarely do I fish then shallower than 15 feet due to the thick mats that grown out to 12+ feet. But I found a decently clean piece of water and thought I'd try it.
  21. Definitely post spawn here. Week and a half ago we were at 72 degrees. Its been 80+ every day since then. Caught some this morning on a small rock pile on a 3xd. It's about to get fun. I love fishing deep water with big worms and cranks
  22. I like to throw what I think is about to be washed into the lake or what will be blown around by the wind. Worms, lizards, shad baits. Have had luck with all 3
  23. Could your have line slipped in between the spool and inside of the frame of the reel causing abraision, but only on that one side where it rubbed? I've had this happen when I was starting out and was over filling my spools. And until I learned and paid more attention it happened more than once. Hope you figure out the culprit
