  1. I've only caught one on a lure. It was a small channel cat that I caught on a small 1/4 ounce finesse jig. Fun on 10lb braid.
  2. Fuego ct and a dobyns fury 705cb
  3. No reason to get another set up. Although I do have 2 different setups for jigs. One for casting and one for pitching. But that is just personal preference not necessary. What gear do you have and what weight/style of jigs?
  4. If all you have is vegetation, fish the edges and any holes in the vegetation. Try to keep your retrieve as vertical as possible to eliminate bogging down in the weeds and getting broke off or having a fish shake off because you couldn't get him out of the weed bed.
  5. Love pitching from the bank, you can get some really unique angles that some in a boat cannot achieve. Landed some nice bass this last weekend pitching a rage craw to shallow wood from the bank
  6. Yeah I got a feeling I'll be dealing with spawners during my tourney on the 5th.
  7. I'd take a fuego ct, tatula ct, or tatula sv over a curado all day. Not to say the curado isn't a great reel just prefer daiwa
  8. Terminator pro series jigs have a color calls dblue olive that is a very good looking color. Its green pumpkin, brown, and blue
  9. Try 15lb seaguar senshi. Very strong lower stretch, thin diameter line
  10. My budget rods are daiwa fuego casting rods. They can be found online for around 50 bucks. I know that is slightly above your budget but they have treated me very well, I try to suggest them when appropriate.
  11. Who has came the closest to breaking their state record? I know it's not me. I'm 7.5lbs off
  12. I have looked at it on the navionics website and it's definitely diverse, both bluegrass pit and loon pit.
  13. Glad you posted the picture, don't think I've seen this exact one. 14-12 northern strain is unreal.
  14. Bluegrass is just a stones throw away from my house. Make sure and post how you do. I mainly fish about 20-30 miles north of there and have been catching them near shallow wood.
  15. Forget what's on there now, I known it is a 2005 though so I think buying would be better than a rebuild. He bought an older boat to save on that cost then decked it out with trolling motor and electronics. I will look into weidas
  16. I think he likes yamaha, and last time he was out he ended up with a hole in the side of the block
  17. As the title states I'm looking for reputable dealers within 8hrs away from south western indiana to find the best deal for a new outboard for my friends boat. He wants used, but has the money to buy new but it would have to be a great deal for him to justify buying new. Thought we would get the word out since there isn't much around us as far as boat dealerships go. Zip code is 47567. Thought we may be able to get a better deal If we traveled. Any info is appreciated.
  18. Patoka is @Bluebasser86's favorite indiana lake lol. I believe he had a similar experience a few years back. If you're down this way again I would suggest bluegrass fwa.
  19. I would think the dfw area would be close to lots of lakes.
  20. Caught them flipping and throwing a spinnerbait. All less than 4 ft of water. Had what I think was a big one break me off in some gnarly stuff. Typical stuff. Windblown points, rock, and wood.
  21. I've lived with a hair stylist for 25 of my 27 years on this earth. If you get a quality haircut from a good stylist, you can get a short maintenance free haircut that looks good in and out of a hat. I'm darn near bald and my wife can make it look like I have as much hair as I did 5 years ago
  22. My friend and his family own a remote lake with a small cabin. we use the cabin when a storm blows in, to eat lunch or get out of the conditions and to store some gear and accessories. He keeps 5 or 6 deep cycle marine batteries hooked up in there wired to 2 small solar panels on the top of the cabin. The batteries seem to be holding up fine and they stay plugged in for 7-10 in a row. Sometimes more. It does take a long time for them to charge but that is ok since they are plugged in for a long time between uses Also i believe his panels are pretty low end and aren't real powerful so I can only see added benefits to buying nicer panels and having them do a better job and lasting for years and years
