Who's the hardest core angler at Bass Resource?
👍 Big Angus 752 “I want to add one more category to my scoring list. We will call it "legacy". For me, personally, the people on this forum that have most impacted my ability to excel and enjoy in my favorite hobby are @Catt and @WRB-2.0 . Another thank you to my online mentors.” I second that!

Can you tie an FG Knot?
https://youtu.be/u_zxaI5ErbM?si=lefHCm3LPFwOiJOj This fg wizz tool makes it pretty easy to tie. I made my own version of it. They turn out neat and strong almost every time. And don’t take long at all to tie. I pre-rig the setups in the garage. Have hardly ever needed to re-tie on the water as knot failure is almost nonexistent, so the tool never leaves the garage. I have on a few occasions had to and have been able to tie it on the water, but it’s not easy without the tool since I’ve become so used to doing it that way.

Rest in Peace @ WRB-2.0
Tom was such an asset to this forum and the fishing community. I am truly saddened by the and wish his family my condolences.😒 He lived in a neighboring city although I never met him he shared some valuable information with me since we fished several of the same local lakes

What do you buy more often, new or used reels?
I’ll buy used on occasion. My best score was a Shimano Curado B at a thrift shop for $10….Been a great reel! In total of the 20+ setups I’ve got 3 used reels and 1 rod

BFS rod
I’ve throwing the 1/10 zman Ned’s and some 1/8 oz swimbaits on my bfs. Going to try some micro cranks and Skirted Ned’s (jig style) when the fish start moving towards the shallower water. Spooled it with 7lb sniper fluorocarbon Its my entry level bfs setup to see how it goes. Been happy with it for the most part. Unfortunately the rod is over your price range but gives you some ideas on bait choices…
