  1. Nice outing and good luck in the classic. The only suggestion I have is to WEAR A DIFFERENT SHIRT. ;D
  2. Worked for me. I was on the edge on my seat drooling until the lights came on.
  3. I was getting ready to type the same thing. To me, he's kind of like Stallone. He sucks as an actor but I gotta watch his movies.
  4. I think I ate too much fish dip...
  5. Awesome presentation/pictures. The scenery in some of those pic's is just plain amazing.
  6. Lets see, I went Saturday, yesterday and today. HMMMMM let me think, oh yea, I go year round.
  7. Homemade smoked fish dip (Spanish Mackerel) is my snack for tonight. I'm missing the jalapenos though. What are the rest of yall eating?
  8. Actually, I know what they are. I just wanted to make sure you northern folk hadn't forgot what a bass looks like. I realize these aren't big but I didn't want to brag by posting the big ones that I caught today. The bite wasn't as good as yesterdays, we only caught about 18 +- today for 2 hours of fishing. I can't seem to find the big boys though. I know they're in there. Me using a 1/4 ounce finesse jig. Another one on the jig. Dad using a Chug Bug.
  9. It sure is. Too bad you moved to Tally. :'(
  10. Guess what? I have the A/C on.....
  11. Try selling the card or go to the store and find a customer to swap you cash for it. They can verify the card is real at the counter.
  12. I did just the opposite. I dedicated a closet for the wife and the rest of the house for fishing gear.
  13. I see gators all time but only once in this pond.
  14. I headed out this afternoon about 3pm. The weather was great, partly cloudy and about 78 degrees. My dad was throwing an old faded shad rap and I started out with a jig. He was catching 4 to my 1. I switched to a Zara Spook and we stooped counting at 30. Most fish were between 1-2 pounds. I, however, caught the two biggest . The blow-ups on the topwater were just plain awesome. It kind of reminded me of the mullet run down the coast when shark, tarpon and jacks chase the school of mullet knocking them up into the air. I had several fish blow the spook at least a foot out of the water and then come back and suck it in. It was incredible. Here are a couple of pic's of the lake and fish. Average size that we caught.
  15. That sucks you broke down but 15th isn't bad considering you couldn't fish where you wanted to. It seems like you guys found the right technique too.
  16. No. It's $30 a boat and I think5 or 10 of that goes to big fish, I think.
  17. I would much rather see more regulations on freshwater cast netters. For instance, must produce a valid fishing license to purchase a cast net.
  18. Good one. My Dear Watson, something smells fishy.
  19. I lost one of the traps after catching about 6 in my neighborhood lake that weighed up to 1.5 pounds. The paint started coming off too. I tried the other trap for a little while today but nothing. How do we tie? I have no fricking clue. I had him beat on the big fish too. We release our fish as soon as we weigh in so there's no way to know someone who weighs in after you is going to tie with you. Unless everyone weighs their big fish just in case.
  20. ...for the entire year or just each outing? Whichever it is, GOOD LUCK!! Anyone interested in a friendly bet? ;D I already tried this. It lasted about one trip. He won't last 3 outings. And I'm not talking about the 30 minute, after dinner fishing trip either.
  21. Back to the Snake Topic again? If you do a search you will find MANY articles on here reference the snake.
  22. Sorry but no pictures. 19 boats entered today's tournament, which is down about 5 from last month. 1st place was 19 pounds with a 7.1 kicker for big fish. I took 2nd with 12 pounds which kind of stunk because another guy tied me so he and I split the money for 2nd and 3rd. 4th place was just over 9 pounds. I started the morning out throwing a spinner bait and chug bug with no success. 45 minutes into the day I said to myself "today is going to be tough." Water temp was 69, water visibility was HORRIBLE and blue bird skies for most the day. I saw some birds up in the distance swooping down to the surface which could only mean one thing, SHAD. I picked up my crank bait rod and BOOM. I put 3 fish in the live well in about 10 minutes. I was throwing a Lucky Craft GDS Mini DR in Tennessee shad color. The sun was getting high and the shad went deep and I couldn't find them. I flipped the lilly pads for the next 3 hours to finish out my best 5. Now my back is KILLING me.
