  1. It's 74 in S.Florida as I type this, 1:35am. Hi for Saturday is 83. How's that for warm? End of December and I've worn shorts and flip flops everyday for the last 10 months.
  2. That's because Loomis started out 20yrs ahead of everyone else.....
  3. DITTO. If you use braid then the new model is a must. If you don't use braid then the new model is still a must..

Nice fish Av. I'll be hittin the Marsh when the weather cools. I hate fishing the heat all day..
  6. Thank you for the advice. You are just what I was looking for. Your boat seems to be the same size and if you say it's tippy then I believe ya. I'm 6'2, 210 and dad is the same. I'm in no hurry since I have a nice boat already. I just need another for "T/M lakes only" Thanks again.
  7. I have an opportunity to buy this boat for $350. It is 14' and 53" at the widest point. I measured from rail to rail not the floor. The floor is 36". It comes with a trailer that is in good condition. I can get the boat with an 8hp Yamaha in (supposedly) excellent running condition for an additional $400. and that includes a trolling motor but I don't know what kind or size t/m. I don't really need the t/m. I have 2 new ones already. Anyways, what do you think. Good price? Is boat modifiable for a platform? And possible floor deck?
  8. Sweet fish. I hope you got a scale for Christmas.
  9. Dinks or not, it's always nice to be out on the lake. It looks real pleasant where you fish.
  10. And back to regular music on the radio.
  11. Can you try explaining this again? But say it in reverse so I can stop spinning....
  12. I hope you catch many a whoppers on it. I remember when my dad bought me my 1st baitcaster. It was about 30yrs ago. An Ambassador 6000 on a custom built Ugly Stick.
  13. You guys are too funny. But it does look like I'm shooting a bow and arrow now that you mention it.
  14. Merry Christmas.......
  15. I took my uncle out again today for a little shore fishing. The temp. reached 81 so it was a bit warm in the sun. We didn't catch any that were what you could call camera worthy but it was nice to be outdoors. Unc caught the 2 biggest, about 2lbs but I was too far down the bank to get pictures. The bass may be getting ready to bed because the ones we caught were way up against the shore under all the thick weed/tails/pads. They would only bump our worm once and let go so you had to be ready and fast with the set. We caught about 8 fish for the day on worms/craws and I caught at least 10 on the beetlespin with #4 mono. Here are a few pic's of the area we were fishing. This location is one of my favorite spots because it's so quiet and peaceful. And not FROZEN Sorry, I shouldn't pick on you guys. I was thinking of yall every time I hooked one.
  16. I think you did a good job LBH. I wanted so bad to somehow tell that little boy just what you did. Nothing wrong with him keeping that fis but I hope he ate it and didn't just throw it away. If he threw it away then he needs a good talkin to, and I don't care if it was his 1st bass. Nothing wrong with eating a fish although I release all mine. But thats just me. Actually if I could trust the water system them I too may keep one to eat.
  17. My Loomis My Calcutta and 5 golden live shiners
  18. Thats what i would do x3. I have both. The 200 is to fast for cranks IMHO.
  19. Glenn said earlier which resolution to use for best viewing but I forgot. I still have to scroll down on my PM'S but it don't bother me. He needs some Subway and Chic-Filet advertisements on here to give us 1/2 off coupons
  20. ALL of my fish are always released. I was on my way over to pick my uncle up from my parents house(2 blocks away) to go fish when he had caught this in their backyard canal. He said they weighed it but it looked a tad lite to me too. I think he just didn't want me to out fish him for the day...
  21. Nice car....and those rims are pimpin bro. GO HEELS!!!!!!!!!!!!
  22. My Uncle came down from Mississippi for Christmas so I took him out this morning on the boat. We headed out at 6am and made a stop at the local diner for sausage gravy and biscuits. MMMMM GOOD!!!!!! I caught this little fella on my new ultralite using a spinnerbait on 4lb mono. What a blast it is catching fish on lite tackle. This hit a while flippin the cattails. She was about 3 1/2 - 4lbs.. and of course I have to throw some wildlife in there.. We ended up catching about 8 bass but most were about a pound. We got home about 1:30 and went back out at 3:30 to do some bank beating. Unc got this hog. Looks smaller but she was a healthy 8. and this one All in all we had a good day. Oh yea, remember those lizards? We pulled the boat up under a bid tree to eat lunch when one of those lizards fell off the limb and into the water about 5' away from us. Darned near made us mess in our mess kit. P.S Can any of you northern folk swap about 10* cool weather for 10* of our southern warm weather? End of December and it's 80*, water temp 72.
  23. I think this is LuckinKentuckys wife tryin to solicit us for ideas. Hmmmmmm 7'6 G-Loomis Flippin stick.
