  1. Redlinerobert turned me onto this site and I wish he hadn't because now it's gonna cost me money. I haven't done any research on these 2 reels yet but was wondering if anyone on here has experience with them. I'm curious about them and considering buying one and teaming it with a Megabass rod. Thanks for any input. http://www.plat.co.jp/shop/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=22_81_84_101&products_id=164 http://www.plat.co.jp/shop/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=22_81_85_127&products_id=279
  2. I seem to see more problem with the new ABU's on here. Regardless which model they are. My spool spread. I traded it for the Premier. It ok but it aint my Shimano. Wish I could trade it ...
  3. I'm his proof. I think he opted not to photograph it because it was about 8 ounces..
  4. The problem is >>>>It's not a SHIMANO.......Sorry but I couldn't resist.
  5. you also rigged the sinker upside down, your line goes through the pointed end of the sinker.
  6. What's so misunderstood with COPS?
  7. That was cool. But it totally freaked my wife out.
  8. Thanks. Our marine unit patrols out there but I don't know where they launch from. The lake/canal system looks very productive. But looks can be deceiving.
  9. I'll have to check with our marine unit to find where the ramp is. We're going if I find it so get ready.
  10. You guys/gals are great. I've never met any of you but all of the support yall have given me makes me feel as though we have been buds for years. I don't want to see the disapointment in my wife's eyes when she finds out I started back and I refuse to sneak around her so I'm going to QUIT all over again. I don't want to be another statistic like Fluke pointed out, especially since my son is due to be born in March. Thank you for all of the support and advice, Bassn_Blvd.
  11. My wife don't ask me to go to the mall and I don't ask her to go fishing. Girlfriend? Well, who has time for fishing....
  12. So much for the moon phase and hotter months....
  13. I quit chewing Skoal (cold turkey) back in Feb. I had chewed everyday for about 22 yrs. and enjoyed it. Since quiting, I have gained about 10 pounds. The withdrawal headaches went away but I still crave it. I eat life savors and chewing gum as a substitute but the last week I found my mouth watering for chew. It seems harder to stay away now then it did when I first quit. I bought a bag of Levi thinking I could have a little to help curb the craving and not resort back to skoal. I'm on my 5th chaw of tobacco in the last 10 hrs. I'm extremely disapointed in myself for breaking down and giving in to temptation. I hope I can find the strength to walk away from this nasty sh** again. I wish I didn't enjoy it so much. The Big Puss.
  14. I hate catching crabs.. They just make me itch...YUK.....
  15. Has anyone in ever fished the lakes at Royal Palm Beach Blvd. about 1/4 north of Okeechobee Blvd.? I believe there is a boat ramp behind the Miami Subs....
  16. Tin2win...The peacocks are plentiful down south around Dade (Miami) and Broward counties. Peacocks have been moving north to Palm Beach over past couple years but all I have caught are 1 pound and less. Okeeheelee park holds some nice peacocks if you know where to go ( I'll never tell either), I just can't get the 3-4 ponder to hit. But I know for a fact they are in there. Jason, I said you could hold my fish as long as you did not take credit for it. It was a beautiful evening , except for the wind which died down about 30 min before dark. We hittin it again Mon. and Tues. so get ready. Rattle Trap season is here.
  17. All you need now is one of those orange bicycle flags to mount on the rear. LOL...Nice looking fishing machine.
  18. So what you think? Will my 7 1/2 Loomis and a 6/0 or 7/0 EWG be big enough? These bad boys are popping up everywhere here in S. Fla. They are plentiful in Miami but I'm seeing them way up in Palm Beach.
  19. I took my son and his girlfriend for a boat ride today at Loxahatchee Wildlife Refuge in Boynton Beach. The water level is very high, Check out the boat ramp. It's about 3 feet into the water. Got my flip flops all wet. The depth along the tree line is about 4-5 feet. I could here them blowing up way in there. The canoe trail looked very inviting (5.5 miles long) for anyone with a canoe. The water temp was 74 or 78, I forget. And the water clarity was good at about 2-3' This one smashed a Fluke.
  20. My son asked me if I would pick him and his girlfriend up and take them for a boat ride and dinner. Of course I said YES (divorced) and what a day it was. The fishing was a bit tough until I figured out the pattern. This one was about 2 lbs and sucked in a Fluke. My son's girlfriend never touched a fish before so this was her first time. Very enjoyable. I'm glad I made sure I wasn't too busy for the kids.
  21. Where are you at Bass109?
  22. What are you all throwing now that the temp is dropping and things are cooling off?
  23. I'm ready for the get together again. And yes, the Snook are going crazy...I'm off this Sat, Sun, Mon, Tues so I'll be Snook'n for sure.
