  1. Dude you should design something and sell it. Is it super heavy???
  2. For $30 you can get the "basic" Buzbe. I don't see a need for the customized ones which cost a lot more. The Basic 28T box has ridges on the lid so nothing moves around. I bought some a week ago or so and really like them. I'm going to buy some more and get rid of everything else. I bought directly from them. You can get a 10% off code and free shipping. IDK, to me it was worth the money. It's a one and done kind of purchase, last my lifetime.
  3. Can't say I've ever prayed to CATCH a fish. But I'll give out the "Please Lord stay on" a bunch. LOL The other day I went out and the first hour was going extremely bad. Snag after snag after snag. I'd get the snag out, "Thank you Lord". I swear I said "Thank you Lord" 10 times in that hour. I then proceeded to have the greatest day of fishing in my life.
  4. Definitely please share here or send me a message. I reached out to a couple different companies last year and one never even responded back. THANKS!
  5. Anyone have experience with the Aftco Breakwater gloves? Supposed to be waterproof.
  6. I threw some Seagar Smackdown on my new topwater combo this year. Bought the stealth gray. It didn't take long for it to turn into almost a white color. IDK, I think I care more about it than the fish because they keep biting my popper.
  7. I appreciate that but I'll have to hire a guide. I don't have a boat. Even if I did I wouldn't know where to start. Maybe after a couple of guided trips I'll be able to try it on my own. The boat should HOPEFULLY be purchased next year.
  8. In this state, I'd have to guess most of the "giant" bass are in private ponds. So I'm sorta SOL on those. There's a "secret" public lake I've recently found out about that holds some pretty large fish for Iowa. Like 6 and 7 pounders. It is not a large lake. I'll hopefully take a crack at her still this year. I'm by far no expert, but cold water fishing to me gives you the best shot at a giant. Might have to brave the elements though. Hence the Cold Wet Hands thread.
  9. For those that are fishing in the cold, how are you keeping your hands warm? Also, for those fishing IN KAYAKS, how are you also keeping them DRY? My hands get wet paddling and they are starting to get really cold now. So far I've been going out gloveless but I need to get this figured out as I plan on fishing until there's ice or January hits. Whichever comes first.
  10. I use the double pitzen for floro. Palomar for braid. Improved clinch for mono. But I only have mono on a couple of panfish rigs. The improved clinch is just my all-time favorite knot. If it worked great for all lines it's the only knot I would ever tie. Simple. Effective. Hardly any waste.
  11. One of these years I'm going to head over there as well. Around 9 hours roughly. It's been number 1 on my bucket list for several years now.
  12. Same. But normally I end up in the trees and start cussing which pretty much cancels out the praying.
  13. Ordered a NRX+ from them a little over a year ago. They worked with me on the price and I thought the entire experience went great. Seems like this year things seemed to be going south based on other reviews I was reading. Too bad, never like to see businesses close and people losing jobs.
  14. So nothing separate from the shipping company? JLS is my go to as I'm a SUCKER for the free lure. Anyone order from them post tariffs?
  15. I'd probably get a round reel if I were to ever throw really large swimbaits but unless I move to a different state I doubt that will happen. The BFS Calcutta is a gorgeous little reel that I've had my eye on for a year. I can see myself buying one next spring or whenever the tariffs go away.
  16. I've been wanting to try a Jitterbug but the stock version doesn't look the greatest and I don't feel like having to modify it. I'd rather just buy a bait that works great right out of the package. I'm definitely going to add some type of a crawler to my night time arsenal.
  17. Don't give up on 2025 yet. I had probably the best day of fishing in my life just last Friday.
  18. I bet he's going to think twice before showing off in front of the girls again.
  19. I agree they need to get rid of the tush push. The lineman hate it as it puts a ton of wear and tear on their bodies. It's extremely difficult to see where the ball actually ends up. There have already been several blown calls on it this year. Don't tell me "Oh the refs just need to be better", it's extremely difficult to officiate. The tush push is typically used on huge plays. 4th and 1, 4th and goal, etc. The call NEEDS to be correct. The OT rule has gotten better but still isn't perfect. Just do it like college. Lastly, get rid of all the stupid crap on the back of the helmets and endzones. Just play the d**n game.
  20. Yeah makes sense. Those little things swimming around in your bait bucket could be Asian carp or who knows what. There are some bodies of water that will never be "normal" again.
  21. I see A LOT of pros out there throwing pink line on their spinning rods now. Not sure if it's a certain brand or they just like the color. Whether they like it or they are just getting paid to use it, your guess is as good as mine. But it seems pretty popular.
  22. To me a pond is much smaller and confined. So taking a bunch of forage out can have a more negative impact on the overall ecosystem of the pond. JMO
  23. You can also drag the hula grub around as well.
  24. That's just nonsense. Signed
