  1. I'm glad you mentioned taking care of them. I was going to add this but ended up not. If you don't take care of them, even expensive waders can go to pot. I learned that from my own experience.
  2. What do you guys do when you miss a strike? Do you toss the same bait right back? Switch baits? A couple of things that I do (they make sense in my mind). Example: I'm throwing a swim jig 1) I'm reeling the bait in and it gets hit. I'll then immediately start shaking the rod (lure) to make the bass think it injured the baitfish. Now an easy snack. 2) I'm reeling the bait in and it gets hit. If I have one handy, I'll immediately grab a rod with a popper or walking bait and throw it out. Once again, I'm trying to make the bass think it injured the baitfish and now it's struggling on the surface. Easy snack. Both have worked. What you got?
  3. Getting rid of Geno Smith is always a good thing. In clutch situations, I can always count on Geno to throw a pick. Easiest way to make money. He is god awful under pressure. Not even talking about pass rushing pressure. Just pressure in general. I'm a Pete Carroll fan but he should be fired for bringing over Geno to the Raiders.
  4. I knew the Bills would lose, they haven't looked good all year. They struggled at HOME against the Dolphins. They struggled at HOME against the Saints. I think injuries on the defensive side of the ball is the main problem honestly. If you can't stop the run you are toast in the NFL.
  5. Nice fish. How shallow was that muskie, doesn't look too deep there. Same lure for both? I miss wading rivers.
  6. Not sure your budget but "waders" and "inexpensive" don't go the best together unless you want to replace them a bunch. You do get what you pay for.
  7. I don't fish rivers much anymore but I would think a 3" soft swimbait would catch fish left and right. There's really no other bait more natural looking, that I can think of. If you need some additional flash or vibration throw an underspin on it. That or a ned rig and I can about guarantee you will catch numbers. As far as temp for topwater? The first number that pops in my head is 50.
  8. As long as there’s no nicks or kinks I’m good. The problem is even a slight backlash can mess it up. If you don’t pay good attention you can lose a good fish or a lure.
  9. Dang it, my picture isn't loading. It WAS funny. But not anymore. LOLOLOL
  10. Hmmm, well I can understand your frustration and the reason for your post. We got to get you "fixed". I've got a work deadline tomorrow so I can maybe do some digging around your area after then. In the meantime, here's a video below of a guy catching smallmouth right on your main fishing spot. Maybe it can help some.
  11. You catch 15-20 fish for the whole year? Or 15-20 an outing?
  12. I can tell you what NOT to do. Open up a brand new crankbait and get it snagged on the third cast. Bye bye DT10, barely knew ya. Just did that on Friday. Time to buy a lure retriever.
  13. Define terrible fisherman. Why do you think this?
  14. Well it's a UPS problem. Thousands of packages shipped from overseas are stuck in hubs across the US. @2earlye
  15. Carriers are charging additional fees due to the tariffs. Ends up being a lot more than "normal" shipping and the 15%. It's a whole different charge.
  16. Fun either way. Probably thought you had a monster bass on for a second. Dang! lol That drag was singing pretty good I bet.
  17. I could be wrong, but isn't Digitaka just splitting the 15% tariff? I doubt (once again could be wrong) that they are also splitting or paying for the additional carrier fee. That's the biggest unknown right now. 15% is 15%. Easy to plan for. Not knowing what DHL, UPS, or FedEx is ALSO going to charge is the main problem.
  18. Snag her or did she actually eat it?
  19. I've seen CA mentioned all of the time for lead. I guess this is the first I've seen these states mentioned.
  20. I won't speak for all, but I "think" I can speak for the majority and YES, this is what most are doing.
  21. I was just looking at a lure and in the description it said the following: The sale of this item may be restricted in Maine (ME), New Hampshire (NH), Vermont (VT), and New York (NY). What the heck are you guys doing up in the Northeast? LOL It was a 7" hard swimbait with trebles if it matters.
  22. Well there's THAT kind of feelings. I'm talking about lateral line type feeling. So if it's pitch black to them, what lure to them feels the most natural. What lure feels most similar to say a bluegill swimming by.
