I just love a Jitterbug, whose with me?

Anyone prefer to keep the hooks on the hangers? I've been thinking of putting mine on split rings.

I put split rings on.

So much fun. A bait that has truly withstood the rest of time.

If you love Jitterbugs, you'd probably love crawlers. My favorite is the Jackall Pompadour Jr. And I also like the Micro Dodge.

Another jitterbug fan here, going back to the late 1950's.

For some reason I quit fishing this lure. Thirty years ago my best top waters were a jitterbug and a tiny torpedo. Guess all the hype of newer baits caused me to stop using them. Still carry two in my box; white with a red head and black. Switched over to split rings and black nickel hooks.

I keep the hooks on the hangers until they need to be replaced, then I use split rings.

Lots of video’s on modifying Jitterbugs. To add split rings you need to use screw eyes and remove the original hook hangers. Bending the lip edges inwards first more cup is common on the Musky size Jitterbug.

Fun lure to tinker with.

Alligators love to attack Jitterbugs! I accidentally caught three different gators on it.

I've been wanting to try a Jitterbug but the stock version doesn't look the greatest and I don't feel like having to modify it. I'd rather just buy a bait that works great right out of the package.

I'm definitely going to add some type of a crawler to my night time arsenal.
