Anybody have this reel? I’m curious how this compares to say the “regular” sized Zillion or Steez. Is it much bigger, size and weight? Can it handle a 3/8 oz bait or is it really meant for bigger stuff? Any input would be great. THANK you!

Don't have a budget honestly. After today I'll be close to 100 hours in the office this week so splurging on a reel isn't a big deal. More than likely ordering from Japan anyways so even a $750 reel can be had for $400 or so. I have a couple of Steez SV TW's but didn't know if those were for more lighter baits. Saw the Steez A II is for more heavier stuff. IDK, I have no clue about reels (obviously).

Well quick update. I bought this rod and it's been sitting at home ready for tax season to be over. Still need a reel though. Thoughts on what to get? By far the majority of use will be a 3/8 - 1/2 oz swim jig with a 4" swimbait trailer on the back. Normally a mayor. THANKS

What about the Steez SV TW for a 100 size? I've got a couple of them already and I like them. Is it much better than say a Zillion? How about that Ryoga in either size? Sorry to keep asking. I want to get something ordered fairly soon and I lack the time to really research this. Stuck in my office all day today while my whole family does Easter.

Just bought a AGS Utility Player and will be using it very similar to you, but in a kayak. Will see swim jigs the majority of the time. Give me two weeks and I’ll let you know my thoughts.

Don't be down on yourself, I'm also a plastic worm dufus. I bought a really nice combo to throw 10" worms etc. and haven't done it once. It always has a jig on it. This summer, I'm doing it though!

Have a new rod for the above techniques, just need to get a reel. What size of reel do you guys prefer? 100? 150? The majority of use will be a 3/8 oz swim jig with a 4" swimbait on the back. Other use will be similar sized chatter/spinnerbaits. As far as casting goes, some will be short with precision, others will be bomb it as far as I can. Oh, line usage. I think I'm leaning towards 30 lb braid but I can be talked into something else. Thoughts? THANKS!
