It's only until 4/15. I've had 100+ hour weeks but not yet this year. It's miserable. LOL

Really depends on the water temp. Summer and late fall/early winter will look different. Water clarity also changes things. But the majority of the time I'm going to have the following: Worm - wacky or neko Topwater - popper or walking Football jig Crankbait Swim jig Chatter/spinnerbait Cold water? Add a jerkbait, might even have two rigged up Slop? Add a frog rod Then there's the big bait rod and the small bait rod (BFS), which is arriving Friday. I carry 8 on my kayak most of the time. That's the max. Need to buy a boat this year, just need to find one.

I'm about 90% sure I'll go with the Calcutta. Been wanting it for a long time. Wasn't sure what size of a reel I wanted for the other. You can sling swim jigs etc. a long ways.

Well, I bought a couple of rods the other night so I guess I need to get some reels if I want to take them fishing some day. Megabass P5 PopX Stick I've been wanting this rod for a couple of years now. My thought was always to throw the Calcutta Conquest BFS on it. Majority of use will be small treble hooked hard baits. Thoughts? Is there something that would work better? Daiwa Steez AGS "Utility Player" Single hook moving bait rod. Mostly swim jigs with the occasional chatter/spinnerbait. Have no clue what to put on it honestly. Price really isn't a concern as I'm working 90 hours a week currently and I just don't give two chits right now. LOL THANKS

Thanks for all the replies. Surprising how comments from "internet strangers" can make you feel better. He will be missed. Just one cat left in the house and she goes by Ruby. She's my furry little princess.

We got him as a kitten from the local cat shelter. There were plenty to choose from but he was running around like a crazy little man which caught my eye. I named him Little Bob. The Little didn't last long, so he became "just" Bob. There wasn't much Little about him now anyways. I couldn't even tell you how old he was, my wife could tell you but I'm working in the office currently and decided to make this post (not sure why). I'd guess he was around 12. Long story short, he became ill a month ago. The vet gave him meds which cleared some things up, but since has been on a downhill slide. Not eating, etc. Which he LOVED to eat. The last couple of days have been difficult to watch him struggle. About a couple of hours ago, my wife called and asked me to come home and put him down. Right or wrong, it is MY belief that a stranger isn't going to put MY pet down. He hates car rides and he hates going to the vet. I wasn't going to traumatize him even more. I cried before, I cried after, and I'm trying not to cry as I type this. It was quick and painless and he is in a much better place right now along side his brother Simon. Not sure why I'm typing this, maybe I need it for myself. Thanks for reading.

Thanks. I might just pull the trigger on it. I'm either going with a P5, a Loomis, or maybe a Steez now. I've got 25 days until 4/15 (not that I'm counting) to get something to my door and rigged up. I'm hitting the water hard come 4/16.

@softwateronly I just had a flashback but maybe I'm thinking of a different rod. Are these the rods with the different guides? Like they break easy?
