I run an Orion 25 on my kayak. I throw frozen water in it to keep my lunch cool for all day trips.

I wear a NRS Chinook and it is comfortable with a high back made for kayak fishing. It is about 99 dollars. I use to wear the bass pro fishing model and it worked well for me. It was around 49 dollars.

We have been having success in this hot weather by slowing down the presentation snd finding deeper water. Curly tail worms texas rigged or weightless. We've had the most luck on Lake Meade, Harwood Mills, and Cohoon. You can rent boats on all three lakes. Harwood is weekend rental only. I fish most of the time out of a yak, getting off the bank is key.

Wow! What a giant!

I paddled the ATAK 120 a few weeks ago and it tracked well. I eventually went with a jackson Cuda HD due to the storage capacities. Can't really go wrong with either choice imo.
