  1. Never caught a bass on a jointed glide bait........... And yes I have a few and have used them......although not much.
  2. I agree with the above........people seem to be the most extreme on here in their love or hate for a specific line type or brand. Just look at the braid threads currently going on. Somehow I've avoided all the problems that some say are unavoidable. I hate FC, I spent more time getting out of a casting mess than fishing. I KNOW I didn't give it enough time......but I don't like it. I would NEVER come on here and tell someone to not use FC because it will ALWAYS backlash. I know that's not true.
  3. Well, I could sleep in my truck in your driveway and you can point me to the closest bass waters.....I'll come back home at the end of March.......
  4. We've had almost 30 inches of snow in the last two weeks and it's currently 8 degree here. Your post is just plain mean!
  5. I run it through my finger and thumb as it comes on the reel. Although the other day I spooled two reels running the line through the pages of the new BassPro catalogue.
  6. Spinnerbaits, jigs, sometimes a squarebill.
  7. I throw them mostly on swim jigs and chatterbaits, 5/0..........
  8. Absolute statements such as this are usually wrong.....it's your opinion but VERY far from fact.
  9. I've used both 832 and PowerPro down to 20 lbs without issue. And it is true for me as well as others I know.
  10. I throw mostly 3.8's and the occasional 4.3.
  11. I don't disagree regarding that possibility but I've yet to feel a bass pick up my jig through my reel before feeling it in the rod. If I did my first thought was I need a better rod.
  12. I really enjoy his video's. I already have that one open and waiting in tab for later this morning.
  13. I've owned both....I much prerferred the Mojo. The BassX seemed extra "whippy" to me.
  14. I'm thinking it's purely marketing..........
  15. Out of curiosity, how does a reel have increased sensitivity? I've always relied on the rod for that.
  16. I use 20 lb braid with a short three foot mono leader for cranks........I wouldn't go thinner than that with braid. Also check out the following channels on Youtube Fish the Moment Bassresource Both have numerous excellent and informative video's on crankbaits.
  17. I have the Tour and two of the Diablo's. I use the Tour for my t-rigs but would also use it for jigs if I didn't already use a Braillist for that. My two Diablo's are used for swim jigs, chatterbaits, spinnerbaits, and some heavier deep diving crankbaits. I love my Orochi's...........all my rods except for one are Orochi's.
  18. I match the hatch about 90% of the time as long as there are shad in the waters I'm fishing. If there aren't shad, then I'm not matching the hatch 90% of the time...... Shad colors 90%, bluegill colors the other 10%,
  19. I have an Ego net. I can't remember exactly which one. I prefer rubber coated with the large mesh. This one has it. I also have the YakAttack Leverage but it's more in the way when not in use.
  20. I have a reel buying problem. It replaced my bait buying problem. This one is worse.
  21. I don't stand a lot, but when I'm fishing for 6-8 hours it's nice to be able to easily stand up and stretch my legs. It's also easier to pitch into wood from a standing position. Oh, I also stand to relieve myself.
  22. Mostly JJ's........ Some Megastrike
  23. I find them an excellent bait in very clear water.
  24. I've only used the 70's and 110's. Probably less than five bass on each over the years.
