Best way to tell what makes the difference?
I did this once last year. Before I hit the water I decided I was going to change lures after every two bass. I think I caught 20 bass on 10 different lures. I just timed it right with one of those days where they probably would have taken a plain ol' hook. LOL But it sure was fun.

Detecting The Drop Shot Strike
I use a M/Mod spinning setup with 20 lb braid to a 6 or 8 lb mono leader. I've only caught little bass on it and don't use the technique much though. No issues with detecting strikes, most of my fishing is in less than 20 feet of water though.

Under spin pricing...
The ones I purchase are between $4-$5.......... Gamakatsu.............and I do well with underspins in a lot of places I fish. Great in clear water.

What type of Knot?
I've always used the improved clinch knot but use a double uni for leader to mainline.

Getting ready for spring!
I had my stuff in Plano waterproof boxes and the Edge Terminal and Jig boxes. I bought several of the Edge 3700 thins to force me to downsize what I bring on the kayak. I can still bring more than I need but I am better organized also because I can fit more boxes therefore divide them up better.

Tipping or Threading
I don't use chunks but sometimes will bit a bit off the body of a craw to make the profile a bit more compact. I thread it.
-
What baits would you bring?
In clear water I really like underspins coupled with an appropriate sized Keitech Impact Fat.

Replacing 3 rods...Best crank bait and spinnerbait rods?
I am a huge Megabass OrcohiXX fan. What I currently use Chatterbaits........the SpecR Spinnerbaits.........SpecR but sometimes I use the Tour Versatile... Crankbaits.........I use both the Flatside Special and the Swingfire, if I had to choose I prefer the Swingfire but they are pretty interchangeable. I do throw bigger cranks and deep diving cranks on a SpecR though.

6th Sense
The Curve 55 is my favorite crankbait. 6th Sense is a quality company.
-
Daiwa T-Wing, FG knots, and leader length
Five feet or so.......My leader knot never makes it to the reel.

Fishing Gloves
Will do. Last year I was out in the yak on March 14th, this year it doesn't look like it'll be that early..........

Chatterbait rod question
MH/Fast.........which is generally the best all around do everything. I use it that type for swim jigs, t-rigs, spinnerbaits, deep crank baits, Whopper Ploppers, etc.
