  1. I've used the double uni for several years.........I just tied a few leaders on using the Shinu knot, I think that's what it's called. We'll see how it holds up.
  2. Rather than forever running sales maybe they should just lower their price and get more sales overall.
  3. I think I've stocked up for this summer and next........lol
  4. Reorganized about a dozen times! LOL
  5. It all depends on where I'm going, water clarity, weather that day and prior as well as what's coming. Different bodies of water warrant different approaches.
  6. Arkie style 3/8 oz jig, brown with either some red or purple in it. Matched with a Spicy Beaver Green Pumpkin.
  7. Daiwa Tatula Elite reel on a MegaBass Flatside Special. I use the same setup for squarebills and smaller topwater treble baits. I have the same reel on a MegaBass Swingfire but prefer the Flatside.
  8. That is on my bucket list.........lol I probably look online at various boats every single day! But it will have to also tow a skier to justify it to my wife!
  9. As far as stick baits, the Yum is more durable, the Senko has better action.
  10. Nope, a big bass is a big bass............ Although I'm going to do some bass fishing in Arizona in March..........maybe my PB will fall.
  11. If by adventure/long distance/camping........I think I'd use a canoe. You're obviously not a kayak fan.......my motor and battery weighs a TOTAL of 9 pounds........Oh, it's still a kayak that can go through inches of water and into places even a jon boat couldn't.
  12. I've fished out of a canoe one time and the wind blew me all over the place. I fish out of a kayak, can easily bring 10 rods, more tackle than I could possibly use, stand and fish, load on a cart and drag a mile, and also pull into a lot and be onthe water in 10 minutes.....Oh, and have a motor than can cruise me around at 4 mph for hours......... We all have our preferences and it's great that we can cater to them. But just out of curiosity have you fished out of an actual fishing kayak? Enough to be able to make a clear judgement of it's usability?
  13. There's a particular quarry I fish that I have a feeling these will be perfect for.
  14. Ahh, the beauty of being semi retired, working in a school, summers off and not starting during the school year until 2:00 pm! My master plan worked out quite well!
  15. I started out six years ago in a used Pond Prowler that I bought with a small trolling motor for $300. Now I have a Bonafide SS127 with a Bixby motor, Garmin with Sidevu, and little tweaks and mods.......... Not to mention I also started with bringing two rods and now bring six to eight depending on where and when......... so at least I started cheap........lol
  16. I bought two last spring and never got them wet. I bought two more this spring in 1/2 oz and promise myself to try them in a little deeper water in some gin clear quarries I fish.
  17. Jerkbait Jig Spinnerbait or chatterbait depending on water and weather
  18. I like to try a new location within a body of water but hit my "go to" spots more. When I try new locations it's usually paired with trying to up my experience on a certain technique.
  19. Stained water I prefer more movement......for me that means a Reaction Innovations Spicy Beaver.
  20. I was out in my kayak on March 14th last year, not looking so good this year but who knows........
  21. I caught a decent bass digging out a backlash once. I try not to replicate that though.......
  22. And don't be afraid to set the hook on weeds, rocks, twigs........ As you gain experience you'll set the hook less on them and more on bass.
  23. I always go spinnerbait first, chatterbait second. So I have one of each tied on when I get there.
