  1. The pair I bought are lighter material. I used them yesterday to shovel the driveway when it was 5 degrees out and they worked great.
  2. I ordered a pair of Glacier Pro Angling gloves. I haven't used them yet but hopefully within the month. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Glacier_Glove_Lightweight_Pro_Angling_Gloves/descpage-781BK.html
  3. I have three go to spots....... My favorite and most often fished is 25 minutes away Close second is 50 minutes away Third is 25 minutes away. There's a fairly big chunk of fishable water 10 minutes from my house that's pretty good in the spring but is horrible the rest of the year.
  4. If this helps I spent decent $$ on my first and only spinning setup to force me to try finesse more........such as dropshot and wacky rigged........ It didn't work..........lol I usually last about 5-10 minutes.
  5. Once I realized how easy it was for charting I even started charting lakes that had charts. More up to date and accurate, doesn't cost a penny.
  6. I would think that a steel leader would devastate the intended action of most bass lures.
  7. I would base that more towards colors of lures but you're right. I know guys that like a particular lure, especially crankbaits, and buy every single color.
  8. I like Revenge spinnerbaits.
  9. 1. Jig 2. Swim jig 3. Squarebill 4. T-rig 5. Spinnerbait
  10. Myself I prefer a MH/Fast for single hook moving baits like spinnerbaits, swim jigs, chatterbaits. This would NOT be a rod I'd use for crankbaits though.
  11. As long as I don't need an OrochiXX rod or a specific Reaction Innovations Spicy Beaver color I think I'll be fine. That specific color has been out of stock for 9 months,,,,,,,,,,,,
  12. When I was using PP or 832 I didn't use any backing....... Now that I'm trying Smackdown I sure do use backing.........lol
  13. That's how it is for me with jigs....brown with purple or brown with red in the skirt works well for me. Both tend to get paired with a watermelon/red flake trailer.
  14. I just split by type........I'm in a kayak and can't bring the entire store with me. Right now I use a lot of 3700 thins........I can fit more boxes in my crate and it forces me to bring less of the "Store" with me. Crankbaits (Normal 3700) Jigs (Normal) Jerkbaits/glidebaits (Thin) Topwater (Thin) Plastic worms (Thin) Creatures/paddlletails (Thin) Terminal (3600) Spinnerbaits (Worm Binder)
  15. I think everyone is different. I tend to go with slower ratio's because it tend to reel too fast.
  16. I wouldn't jump in for a lure but if I drop my OrochiXX/Tatula Zillion combo I'm going in......lol
  17. Reaction Innovations Sweet Beaver Spicy Beaver
  18. I use short leaders for my treble hook baits, about three feet. The leader is less limp than braid so tends to foul the hooks less. I've went with and without leaders on single hook apps and really didn't notice a difference on bite rates. This year I'm trying a higher vis braid for my jig and t-rig reels and am using a mono leader just to error on the side of caution with the bass see line and shy away theory which I've never really bought into but what the heck, have the fun is trying new stuff.
  19. Yep, less snagging, less line between unpegged weight and bait to get wrapped around. And yes, a bass could care less about the tiny amount of weight. I fish jigs more than t-rigs and bass suck the jig right up.
  20. Easy to keep the number down too. A shad color, a bluegill color, a mirror or ghost color. I never found a need to 10 different colors of each style.
  21. That's so true. I have a channel with maybe 30 fishing video's on it. I don't make them for viewers, I make them just because. LOL I have a buddy with a channel that has a few thousand followers and he tells me I need to talk on my video's........I laugh and tell him I have a few "F Bombs" in each one. I don't do intro's or explanations, I doubt what I have to say is worth it and it may bring my subscribers all the way up to 40 from the current 37!
  22. I'm another one that takes a sharpie and writes the depth on the bill.
  23. What is the "Members Solved Count" and checkmark under my name on posts for? I just noticed it and have no idea how long it's been there......lol It's right next to the Members Reputation number.
