  1. My tackle bag has a few magnets near the top that’s designed to hold lures/pliers etc. Does anyone know if I keep my fish finder in that bag near the magnets if it will harm it at all? My gut says no, but figured I’d ask before frying $600 or whatever it was. I like to keep it off the mount while the kayak is in the truck bed
  2. Is anyone interested in buying my factory cover? It’s unopened. I have no need for it since the boat is garaged.
  3. Any more shots of that battery compartment? I'm looking at doing the same, did you just self tap the holders for the second gas tank? What else is stored in there?
  4. I had no idea, maybe they're the standard now? Took the boat out the other day, not one problem. Very happy so far
  5. Here she is, just got home. Eager to get the motor broken in and enjoy. Now to binge on the thread and catch up with the shared knowledge
  6. Thank you sir, hopefully will be a new owner within the next week
  7. Can someone do me a favor and measure the ground clearance of the low part of the trailer in the middle of the rear? I’m on the edge of ordering a classic, but have a steepish driveway and want to compare with my friends ranger which made it up the driveway. It’s the only thing left before buying one.
  8. No help here, but I’ve been bouncing back and forth from a better used boat, to a lesser new boat because of this main fear. Curious to see what happens
  9. I’ve fished with others in mine multiple times (10e model). It’s not bad, seats back to back you each have a small square to stand on. Not ideal but always been a fun time
  10. Unfortunately I can’t find any electric only tourneys around here, and too lazy to organize my own. The raider is a pain with paddles only, but I figure I’ll be as slow as the float tube guys with only fins on their feet. We’ll see, I might not even try
  11. I was able to order mine thru dicks and they price matched with academy Has anyone experimented with paddling their raider? I’m thinking about joining a local bass tournament group that uses kayaks and float tubes etc., no trolling motors allowed. I’ve tried both a kayak paddle and canoe paddle, just seeing if anyone maybe has golden knowledge on it.
  12. I wouldn’t say so. They’re about $600 brand new
  13. Just figured I’d post a pic of mine in its current state. It gets unloaded/loaded in the truck bed. The only things I take inside the truck are the trolling motor, battery and rods. I may put on a new rod securing system and leave them on for the drive, but it’s a quick load and unload when there’s a dock to use. I just pull it up or let it down while standing in the bed. The transducer arm snaps in and out of the mount there. Use the boat nearly every weekend, love it
  14. It was brought up in the heritage thread, there’s a few updates on them. I’ve been debating back and forth about ordering one
  15. That’s what I’ve been leaning towards. They’ve been mostly great for everything else I’ve attached on there
  16. If you balance enough weight to the rear it won’t need one. An extension handle on the trolling motor will help get your body back further That looks great. I’ve wanted to do something like this but nervous wind could get under it during highway trips somehow and fly out. Been thinking of a decent way to secure it
  17. It will take a few trial runs to figure out the best way to launch/load depending on your lake etc. I use bungee cords or rope attached to the front handles, while standing in the bed, and just lift it up into the bed. If the lake has a dock I don’t get wet one bit. Let it out into the water the same way, just slide it out with bungee cords, step to the dock and tie it on. I leave the seat in it along with the rods strapped in, the less stuff to bring in and out the easier it is. I leave the seat on for transportation but have it secured with a bungee cord that has caribiners on each end. One on the seat, one on a front handle. Then I use cam style tie downs for the rear of the truck, and bungee cords on all 4 corners.
  18. I made a cheap mount for my 7” garmin that sits in one of the stock pole holders up front. Basically a wooden rod with rubber around it, I’ll try and get a pic this weekend
  19. Those with a floor, no issues with it catching wind on the freeway and blowing out? I’ve been thinking about doing carpeted wood but nervous about going 70mph+ and having wind get under it and flip it out
  20. Thanks Junger, just ordered that. Didn’t even use the coupon, but they automatically had $40 taken off it
  21. I use 15 on my crank rod
  22. I used mine twice, it was just too d**n slow for me. Went to a pontoon with a trolling motor and that was fine for a while, then eventually to a pelican bass raider which has been great. Been considering a real boat now if I can help silence the practical money man inside of me.
  23. How do you have your transducer mounted? I love that set up, might have to try and build something similar
  24. I had a huge list when I bought mine as well, but after fishing in it multiple times I was actually able to cut a lot of stuff off that list as I felt like I didn’t really need them. I love it! Look forward to using it each time I get the chance
