  1. And here in Montana an inflatable PFD does not count as a PFD on a boat unless it is being worn. A lot of people miss that.
  2. Ah really, what about us folks that ice fish......on the ice when it's cold-like frozen in sub zero temps???
  3. Something that many have not figured into the electric vehicle is that right now most are being subsidized by the government. Currently that would be around a $7500.00 tax credit which is paid for by all of use. In our small town one can drive down to city hall and use on of 6 charging ports.......for free! Yep paid for by the tax payers. Then we have the elephant in the corner of what happens if all the gas powered vehicles are taken of the road as in what, who or how is the road tax going to be made up? I just filled my truck yesterday and it was 25 gallons times .55 cents per gallon, $13.75 in road tax. Just remember as that electric vehicle goes zooming by they are most likely not pay any road tax!
  4. A-Jay had a point with the warm bearings/hub in the cold water. That is one of the advantages of the bearing buddies is that they are spring loaded so as grease is added the spring is compressed and when the warm bearing/hub goes in the water and a vacuum (grease contracts) is created the spring keeps pressure on the grease so water can't enter, if the seals are good. Also use a good high quality synthetic water proof grease.
  5. Turn your screen brightness down if possible, that's where most of the current is being used. I use a helix 10 for ice fishing with the screen brightness at 1/2 it doubles the battery life.
  6. The problem lately (ya I know the Covid) has been they have it in stock and it's 3-4 weeks to ship. That's ok I can wait but then at 3 1/2 weeks ya get an e-mail they are now out of stock, really?

  9. Boat prices around the country are interesting. I'm in Montana and just sold a 1995 Lund Rebel with a 28 horse, electric trolling motor and older fish finder. Sold in 1 day for $6500 and 3 people waiting in line if the first fellow didn't take it! The Rebel and Mr Pike are almost the same. I owned the boat for 15 years and got to say it was a great boat. Don't over think it, as one person said tough to find the perfect boat, for that price don't think you could go wrong. My newer boat? 2010 Lund Pro Guide, getting close to the perfect for our fishing boat.

  11. Ya...My son's did that onetime. It was great to watch after the fact on the Police dash camera as he was laying on the ground with the officer who had his gun pulled. Or worse yet our old freight truck driver that was "hit and killed" as he was scaring people along the highway. Young girl panicked and turned into him.
  12. Just getting started in tying, love this pattern may have to "borrow" it. Thanks.
  13. I've got a cordless pedal on my 10 plus year old MinnKota.
