Arky mold issues
Make sure that your mold is warm as well, if it is cold, as in outside temperature, I will warm the hooks as well.

Kansas Lakes?
With the reduced pressure on Melvern because of the water quality, and the size of fish that were being caught when it was fishing well. I can't wait to see what that lakes produces when it gets back to itself.

13lb Sunline Defier Armilo great stuff!

What line do I need
Leave the top water frogs out of the equation and you decision is much easier. I won't fish frogs on anything but braided line. But that is one of the few things I prefer braided line for.

Fluoro on baitcaster - Advice needed
Which Generation of Revo Premier are you using? Tell us a little bit more about how you have your braking and spool tension set. I have used the Revo line of reels since they were released, I find all but the Gen 1 SX are excellent casting reels. Line choice may have some impact on castability but certainly not to the point of repeated backlashing. The way the line was spooled on the reel can certainly have an impact on castability also.

Whopper Plopper anyone's favorite Topwater Lure?
I would not say it is my favorite but it is very fun to fish. I throw mostly the 130 and have done very well with it. i have a few of the 90 size but rarely use them, I just don't get the same results with the way I fish them. Zara Super Spook Jr. Shower Blows Shorty Giant Dog X Pop Max Frog Some others that I use fairly regularly

Power supply for electronics?
I understand your point, this was the point of my post. You can still easily get 12V from a series 24V circuit. The second you caught yourself. Not a big deal.

Power supply for electronics?
Not calling you out, but your post is full of incorrect information. Not sure if you just used the wrong words or misunderstood the question, but you should edit your post for accuracy.

Which model rod do i need for cranking?
fantastic rod Dobyns Champion 805CB is a very good rod, Maybe I missed it but I did not hear you mention what type of material you were looking for, glass, CF or composite. If I were only going to have 1 I think my choice would be CF.

Megabass Giant Dog-X Topwater
What size of the Sammy and Gunfish do you fish most of the time. Walks easily like both of the LC baits, but has more glide than the gunfish, the shape is more circular than the LC baits, more similar to the spook. Seems to roll further on its sides than either of the others do imo. Tripple hook for the Dog and the hooks are much larger. Several differences but all good baits.

Is there an SV spool that will fit a Pixy?
Love the purple 103, they were probably the first JDM reel that most Daiwa lovers were able to get their hands on. Post a pic or two when you get her all finished up. The only thing I have not done to my Sol is to add the longer crank shaft to support the clicking drag star, have thought about it several times but it just does not make that much difference to me so I have held off. Probably get bored this winter and do it to fight the cabin fever.

Realistic Paint Jobs
Realistic paint jobs look great when you have the benefit of looking at them in an environment that does not filter light. They will look much different under water when the light becomes filtered and the water color has an effect on them. I find it more practical to use colors that I believe will provide a good contrast based on available light and water color.

Poster Child
I am only interested in each persons opinion, not trying to fix world hunger, just looking to see if there is any type of consensus.

Poster Child
So I was thinking about all the discussions based around rod power and action and how hard it is to describe this without comparing it to another rod that most anglers are familiar with. With that in mind I started wondering about what everyone's thoughts were about what is the "Poster Child" or standard for MH F rods. What one rod best fits this designation as a baseline for all others to be compared to. Maybe length is a consideration in this, so lets keep is narrowed down to rods right around 7' or so.

Is there an SV spool that will fit a Pixy?
It's all good, I would have a hard time parting with my Sol, put too much money it now to really get rid of it. Enjoy that Pixy, they were the Kings of finesse for a good long time.

Favorite rigs/techniques for numbers
ned rig will def catch large numbers, keitech on a light jig head fish slow is good for numbers also

Is there an SV spool that will fit a Pixy?
Got a beautiful Sol with an SV105 spool, 6.8:1 gears, fast level wind and bearing, handle and knobs, upgraded drag, all the dress up parts. Get ready to part with your Pixy, maybe we can work out a deal.

Kansas Lakes?
Fished Melvern Thursday, man was it tough, muddy and little high. Don't remember ever seeing Melvern quite this dirty in all the years I have fished it. Left and went to the power plant, water was better, and so was the fishing.

Is there an SV spool that will fit a Pixy?
I guess maybe I think differently, but why put an SV spool in a Pixy, what you would end up with is something similar to the Daiwa Sol or SV105. I have always felt what makes the Pixy different is that it has a free, fast spool, not so controlled by braking. Eh, maybe it's just me.....

Deep Cranking
I love to fish deep crankbaits, and to me deep means about 20ft. I don't need to fish deeper than this as the thermocline on most of the lakes I fish forms about this depth or even a little less. I use a 7ft 6" Heavy Moderate rod and 12lb FC for my line. I prefer the Revo Winch for my reel, both the gen 2 and gen 3 have worked well for me. IMHO there is no incredible secret to deep cranking other than your casting, make sure you cast far enough that your bait spends as much time in the strike zone as possible, this and understanding structure and how the fish are relating to it. The rest comes with time on the water.
