  2. That she was a he and when they are protecting the fry they do not eat much! They are too busy guarding the fry. I would leave those fish alone but that's only my opinion. If you really have to catch that fish try a blue gill type swimbait. After the males leave the nest and their offspring they will eat them on the first chance they get!

  6. I 100% agree! How can you compare a native american to a modern fisherman! Off course fishing was done for food but we live in the 21st. century and people should know better!
