There are dozens if not hundreds of small topwaters. First one that comes to mind is the 2" Rapala Skitter Pop. The Jackall Kana Kana 1.5" would be another.

We don't have any bluegill around here but I still catch fish on bluegill colors. Forget match the hatch. I also catch fish with tilapia and peacock bass colored lures, none of these around here. Size and presentation of the lure is far more important.

Yes it is. It was 84lbs. 12oz. Have look at this huge carp from Thailand. (Thailand is alot warmer then California )

Any of you guys use the large storm thunder dog (TDG11) 4 3/8". Can you easily walk the dog with this bait? I found a few of these in one of my boxes but I never used them. http://www.stormlures.com/products/luresdetail.cfm?modelName=thunderdog_saltwater&freshorsalt=Salt&type=hard_lures

Pickerel and pike can be caught on the same lures. A pickerel is a smaller version of the pike. Pickerel= Esox americanus Pike= Esox lucius Musky= Esox masquinongy
