Bass are called Lu yu in China (shang hai). Lu=black bass, yu=fish At least that's what a friend told me that works over there.

I went to lake this afternoon and couldn't get a bite on topwater baits. I was just too windy! I hate fishing in the wind! Then I rememberd some of you guys suggesting spinnerbaits in windy weather. Two casts and my first bass! I managed to catch 7 fish in all. 6 bass (3-6lbs.) and 1 perch! This site really helps with all the good recomendations you guys give! Thanks! Perch:

Maybe your not tying the right knot and that will cause the knot so slip on your cast. If not, it must be a bad batch!

I have not tried that lure but one that's very similar: Imakatsu Flappin' Sonic I use them for vertical fishing in the cold months.

I got a Slender Pointer a while back from Japan and they are great looking baits! Unfortunately the sent me the sinking version and I haven't used it much because of that. When do you guys use sinking jerkbaits?

WELCOME! You a probably getting bites from small fish. Use some larger baits, that might work.
