That is a Koi and a very nice one at that. Some People pay big bucks for those fish. Next time you take a pic, hold the fish with both hands by it's belly since you release them. Koi are very delicate and you probably did some damage to the fish by holding it on that stringer.

The Arku Shad is all I use these days. But my most productive ones are missing most of the paint. I take fine steel wool and rub some of it off. Then it starts catching fish. I agree. It seem the worse a lipless crank looks the better it catches. Maybe using clear lipless cranks might be a good idea? You guys know if any company makes them? I've been doing well with this old LC LV-Max 500 lately. Hope I dont loose it. Heavily used lures seem to catch better for some reason. At least for me.

I'm sure that will work! With a slow retrieve you can keep the buzzbait just under the surface. If it works for you then do it! There are no rules! Ooh and WELCOME!

Very nice fish but my guess is that they are more like 3-4lb. Nice fish anywhere!

This must be some kind of introduced (invasive) water plant. What kind it is I don't know but I'm sure someone else will. If that plant grows that fast it will soon be growing all over the place and something has to be done to get wrid of it otherwise you wont have any more spots to fish. Looks like pretty thick stuff so I imagine fishing in that is impossible.
