Hmm, I have not. Is it accessible and permitted? If so I would be interested in a trip Mike!

Why...?
Out of curiosity why is it understood and acceptable if you were to throw a t-rig with a fairly light weight like say 1/8 to 3/16 oz that you'd do so with a baitcaster but if you were to throw a 1/8 to 3/16 oz shakey head that most people would expect it to be on a spinning rod?

"Push pole" ideas?
Are there attachments or something you can screw into the end?

"Push pole" ideas?
I need some ideas as to what you guys use as a "push pole" on your boat. My dad has a pontoon boat that has a very old, torn up wooden oar on it that is only used to push off of the bank, trees or rocks if we drift so close to obstacles like that to create space to fire up the engine and move. I was thinking I could get him a new one then I figured there has to be something better to use for this job and wanted some suggestions. I saw a really sweet one that KVD was touting but it was about 200 bucks or something silly. IDK, I guess ideally I go with should have a V shape or something to where it can push off trees, telescope out to where it can reach out a good ways but not take up a lot of room on the boat. Ideas?

Shimano Stradic CI4+ opinions?
Looks like the 100 size is sold out. When I read your message I was standing in a surprising line at Bass Pro 10 minutes before they opened. I was debating ordering the 2500 I wanted online while standing there in line or risking it by hoping all those people in front of me would not beat me to them. I got down to the reel section and grabbed one! Said they started the day with 6 and I got the 3rd one left at 9:01 LOL

Shimano Stradic CI4+ opinions?
I was sort of set on the 2500 but looking at the specs it appears the 3000 has the same weight and gear ratio. Only difference is the 3000 holds a bit more line. Is there a reason I am not thinking about to where a bit more line capacity would be a good idea? If not the only real difference I can see between the 2500 and the 3000 is the handle type as they differ.

Shimano Stradic CI4+ opinions?
Hey JJ, if I remember right I have read on here that you own the Ci4+ 2500 and the 4000 I think? I was curious if you could answer something for me. Do you know if the "handle" is the same size/length and connection gear on the 2500 and 3000/4000 is the same to where is I wanted the T knob on the 2500 I could just swap the "handle or arm as it were" out with a 3000/4000 and they would work flawlessly?

Daiwa tatula lt question
Curious as to your opinion on both of these? I may be picking up one and wanted to see which you'd recommend or your thoughts?

Why is the Ci4+ priced higher than the FL? What about it is supposed to be superior? It seems like a lot of guys like the FL better.

Please explain to me Tatula LT 3000CXH spool design advantages?

Well what is the "advantage" of a 3000 spool on a 2500 frame? I'd think 2500 of both or 3000 of both would be fine. Also do you know at which model they change from the smaller handle to the T handle?

Please explain to me Tatula LT 3000CXH spool design advantages?
I am in the market for a spinning reel and am leaning towards the 2500/3000 size. Was pretty set on buying a Stradic Ci4+ but there seems to be a lot of love for the Daiwa Tatula LT as well. I am getting interested in the 3000CXH model. I am confused, though, about the design. It is a larger size, still is very light and offers less line capacity so you do not waste as much? It sounds like this particular model is kind of a best of all worlds kind of thing but I am not smart enough to understand what all is going on with it. Can someone educate me? Also at what model do they go from the smaller handle to the T shaped model?

The Tatula LT has be intriqued. I think I am looking at the FL, the Ci4+ and the Tatula LT. How do they compare?

What are the differences between the FB and FA models? When looking at the two how do I tell the difference, or is it just written on the reel somewhere?

Shimano Stradic CI4+ opinions?
I've never been a spinning reel guy but lately I have been thinking I need to bite the bullet and get one. I would use it for bass fishing primarily but I would like to have the ability to go after crappie or pan fish if I so chose. With it I will probably throw a wacky rig worm, shakey head, light t-rigs, ned rig, possibly a small jerk bait or fluke, vertical jigging, might learn a drop shot one day. Probably will throw 15 pound braid on it as well. I am not looking for a technique specific spinning rod/reel here, I am looking for a spinning setup that will handle all spinning applications here. I was wanting to stay around the $100 mark and was looking at a lot of good looking options from Daiwa. I have always been a Shimano guy though and now seeing that Bass Pro will be selling the Shimano Stradic CI4+ for about $150 I am considering bumping up my price to get such a reel. Not knowing much about spinning reels I wanted to ask for a few opinions on this reel from you guys. I did not want to just blindly buy a higher end Shimano without some opinions and feeling like the additional $50 was worth it versus a Daiwa Fuego or BG or something. I was thinking I would go with the 2500 size. For the types of baits I would be throwing and using 15 pound braid is that a good model to go with?
