Whopper plopper because it’s the original and everything else is a knock off... but really the plopper is nice and has caught several giants for me.

Me and my wife both have great jobs and work lots of overtime I just can’t ever justify spending I guess. I have a designated rod for cranks and Treble baits, jerkbaits specific rod, frog/heavy cover rod, heavier jigs and worm rod and a lighter finesse rod for weightless worm or lighter stuff. Oh I guess I have 6 rods. Because I have a rod for chatterbaits/spinnerbaits

Got some new rain gear , the aftco proteus ! Absolutely love it. Very lightweight and breathable, the aftco ninja UV protection long sleeve. And heard everyone talking about this KVD line conditioner so had to try that. Also thanks to @A-Jay I have a megabass sonic side crankbait comming soon in the GP pro perch color. Can’t wsit to use everything !

That is amazing!! I wish I even had room for all that. I was going to get an ALX IKOS. I talk to Alex himself and it sounds like an amazing rod for the price. But ahhh I can’t take myself to get it, and obviously if I get a new rod I have to get a new reel ?

So I’m getting the urge to get a new rod just because ! I have 5 rods all designated for specific things and my oldest being a MH/F st croix mojo bass. I’m looking to replace it for something newer and better but the issue is there is nothing even wrong with it ! I just want to buy a new rod because it’s new and flashy lol. I’m sure everyone can relate .. and I can’t even use the rod yet! How does everyone cure the itch without buying

If your going to use any wake bait I would suggest an MS slammer or the shellcracker G2 is also very good.

If it’s open then you can for sure catch bass! Jerkbaits with longer pauses. Finesse jigs , lipless cranks!

I know you said your kind of set on a rod but you should check out IROD genesis 2 Fred’s frog stick. It’s amazing!! I looked for a long long time before buying a frog rod and this outdid itself. It can pull the biggest bass out of the heaviest slop. I pulled my PB 7 pounder with about 10 pounds of weeds on it up into my canoe. It’s also amazing for jigs and flipping and pitching into cover or punching. Just a thought

Looking to get a good all around rod to replace my st croix mojo bass. I had it for awhile now , was actually my first baitcasting rod ever.. I want to upgrade a little and get one of those 3. A 7ft+ MH/F rod for all around use (ex) chatterbaits, jigs, T-rigs etc. anyone know how each performs? And sensitivity etc. sadly our local tackle stores don’t have any of these models to try out.

I just trim the weedguard like everyone stated. But don’t make it super short or it becomes real stiff. Some good trailers are strike king rage craw, gambler ugly otters, googan baits bandito bug, d bomb by Missile baits is also good. What swimbait trailers are those? They look nice. I usually use keitech only but I like the colors and looks of those

War eagle is probably number one , and then next is revenge. I use double willow or one small Colorado and willow. White and chartreuse is a go to, or some natural blue gill color. Gold is used most often where I fish

It all depends on cover you throw it around. I see everyone here suggest a MH/F rod but where I fish it has tons of weeds and lay downs etc. I throw it on a H/F rod with 16-20 pound fluoro

I fish out of a canoe and I would say 20 mph is tops for me. 10-15 isn’t to bad. I just paddle wherever and throw an anchor down and catch the fish. I think of fighting the wind is good exercise and healthy for me... then there are those times that I start swearing at the wind because it seems to only blow when I start paddling , but that doesn’t happen to often ?

May cat does this to, whenever I try to respool in the house my cat starts swatting at the rod tip thinking it’s a play to toy. Sometimes they stare at lures when I’m about to leave. I tell them no! Bad kitty

We are almost there in western New York! We have a couple days in the 40-50s past week. Now we have 2 days in mid 30s and then folllwoed by temps around 55-60!! I’m hoping we have some open water in 2 weeks. I saw some of the smaller ponds around here have thawed. Just waiting for my fishing holes to open now
