Now I have to say this is the biggest catch of my life ! It took 4 years but I knew in time it would pay off. Now I know some of you might get upset haha or be like “awweee man you got us “ but this truly is the best catch of them all.. or almost as close to catching a teener haha, but this was the most memorable day. This community on here has become friends so I figured I would share with everyone ! We finallly got married woohoo!

Yeah I should of thought of that. I left about 10 minutes later and was hoping he didn’t follow me to the ramp as he had a few guys with him and I was alone. But it all worked out... some people just have nothing better to do I guess

Well thank you! @Brad Reid that was very in depth ! It sounds like that is the perfect canoe for me. I was looking for something a little more stable and something I could put a trolling motor on. It seems there is plenty of space for tackle and everything else to.

I have been fishing out of An old town saranac for few years and looking to upgrade a bit. I was looking st the sportspal 15 ft canoe but haven’t found many reviews. Anyone have one and what do you think? I want to be able to stand on it and have plenty of room for tackle etc.

Haven’t been on in awhile so trying to catch up! But I usually don’t have to many problems as I fish in a canoe but sometimes boaters make fun of me. I also had one guy get mad bc I was fishing along the shoreline for hours and he decided to fly over to me and say I was “to close to his spot” and he tried to flip my canoe in thick grass. Or when I fish Lake Erie in spring time some “expensive boats” give me the weird eye but they soon get friendly when I out fish them 3:1

I can’t wait tilL ice out! Out here in western New York on groundhogs day the groundhog didn’t see his shadow! You know that means early spring! Or so I hope. Last year ice out wasn’t until may and I’m feeling the itch bad now

Yeah I wasn’t expecting to get much. Just being out able to fish was awesome but to actually catch a fish just made it perfect ? i cant wait for spring

So I live in western New York and usually around this time we have 20 degree temps in the day and 2 feet of snow everywhere but this year , this year is different ! Yesterday was 50 degrees and sunny. Some places I fish have the problem of it has ice on it but only a 1/4 inch thick or less so you can’t break it. One small pond I have permission to fish though is wide open! Water temps around 39 so I just had to go out. Fished for about 4 hours with one bite but man was it all I have wanted. The feeling of a fish fighting back was amazing. Got it on the megabass jerkbait.

I haven’t been on as much as fishing season has come to a halt .. still creep around here and there and glad to see all the southern fisherman still doing good. Just 4 more months for me ... hopefully Santa knows I have been nice this year and brings warm weather early !

Learn to catch fish on some new techniques like swimbaits , tube jigs for pre spawn smallies on Lake Erie , catch a 6 pound smallmouth PB and a 8 pound largemouth !! Of course always have fun and enjoy the days on the water. Oh and non fishing related get married in February ..

Finally got all of my Black Friday items ! Only thing I need is a 1/8 oz tube jig and I’m set for smallie season! The 3/8 are a little too big but lesson learned. Just use it for deep water.

Yeah I picked up some dobyns heads and the boxer head jig as noted above. Got some keitech in the electric bluegill , perch, goby and sun gill color ! My mind goes as follows “ well I already have 5 walking baits that all catch fish but this walking bait also looks good and will catch fish so I better get it “ then I end up with 10 walking baits bc hey ya never know right ? That 10 pounder might want this special walking bait instead of the other 9 haha

Do you know what size hooks those are?? I hate that it doesn’t show if it’s 3/0 or bigger

I need something for smallies. They are pretty big on Erie but those look decent. I want them to be strong but not insane strong where you need heavy rod. @QUAKEnSHAKE those look nice to. What size are the hooks on the 1/8 or 1/4 oz? Was looking for a 3/0 hook and what size is that keitech in your picture ? That looks perfect

I looked online and I couldn’t find exactly what I was looking for. At work to so didn’t have as much time but I’m wondering what everyone uses for a swimbait Head on the 3.8 inch keitech? I’ll be using this for pre spawn smallmouth and fishing in 10 ft or less of water. I looked at the Matt Allen swimbait Head or the revenge swimbait but didn’t see much reviews. What’s everyone go to for these and weight for that deep of water? My first time really using swimbaits for smallies.
