The last couple times Ive been out to my favorite lake its flat out sucked. I usually do well there but since prespawn its been bad. Its also the same lake I caught 7 VA trophies and a ton of fish that missed the mark by a few inches last year. Its a deep lake for the area, I think it goes around 40 at best but the shores are steep so it can be 26 feet deep 12-16 feet from the bank. There are two main flats one thats 12 feet and the other is 6. There are also a few decent points that get up around a whopping 15 feet at best. Jigs and walley styled cranks worked well up there along with senkos and heddon torpedoes. Any advice on getting some fish? Thanks

Something that Ive learned is that if a fish isnt hiding then its MORE THAN LIKELY that it wont hit. Its not impossible but its still pretty rare. Ive found especially true in rivers.

Most rods overall could be very similar but if you break down their properties you could find stuff like weak guides with good customer service or any other things like that. It just depends on what you want I guess.

I caught my first fish with a tube a few days ago and it got me motivated to get a better selection of tubes. Right now I have a bag of Prowler brand 4 inch in watermelon. What are some more brands and colors that you all use.

Were doing about the same thing to the same boat I used wood supports though and I did the deck slightly different. I would be a lot farther but I couldnt get carpet today.

My grandpa and I were just pulling up to shore in our 9 foot BassHound that we usually beach then jump out and pull it up on shore a little. Well I was on the side doing something with my rods and my grandpa jumps onto shore and sends me flying out in the water. There were some guys at the ramp that found it pretty funny :

I just use my phone. I email the pics I want on the internet then photobucket them, photoshop them to make my fish look bigger, and finally post them on here.
