  1. Blown away at how small this bait is. I bought the 7g in pink and ice blue. Thought I’d throw a picture up for comparison to a Spro BBZ-1 Baby Shad for anyone that’s curious. It casts like a bullet.
  2. That profile looks very similar to the Miyagi Swimmer, have you tried those? I like the idea of the smaller sizes on a swimjig
  3. Treat that bait like it’s made out of Elaztech.
  4. My gear arrived! Really surprised at how much smaller the 5" Magdraft is compared to the 6", same goes for the Duo G87 15A which is monstrous compared to the Dredger. The BlackPak Pro is outfitted with 10 tether tubes now.
  5. I went down the rabbit whole looking for a good-long lasting Lithium battery for my FF. Don't be fooled by Li-Ion, they're oddly priced close to LiFePo4 batteries but do not maintain consistent voltage like the latter and are less prone to combustion and thermal runaway.
  6. Love my 6' 9" MR Daiwa Feugo casting rod (topwater) so much I bought a 2nd for jerkbaits. 13.5" handle is phenomenal for walking the dog and should be a winner for twitching a jerkbait or shallow crank or squarebill. Surprisingly light too for $80. I should look at the Aird-X.
  7. I've used the flat wheels on wet sand and they have a tendency to dig in especially if you're fully rigged up. Bankc did a good job of covering the pros/cons, if you're using them around sand, definitely get the inflatable wheels.
  8. Went hunting for a jerkbait rod today, stuck with what I know and grabbed another 6’ 9” Fuego Medium Regular paired it with a 6.3.1 w 12 Daiwa J-Fluoro. The 7.3.1 Fuego CT will go on my topwater rod which is also a 6’ 9” Fuego. I’ve read really good things about these Spro Little John Deep Divers, going to work it into the rotation with the Duo G87 15A, Berkely Dredger and Money Badger. The Crazy Flappers are for Bifle head jigs, footballs jigs and t-rig. After the last few days, my wallet is crying Uncle.
  9. https://ptboprotackle.ca/products/megabass-magdraft-5 they’ve only got Sunshine Gill or Wagasaki in the 5”. https://elitetackle.ca/en/products/magdraft-5 has the same colours as above plus the Albino Pearl Shad and White Back Shad.
  10. Rounding up some final purchases before the season starts next month. Waiting for a bunch of stuff to come in. Still need another two reels, jerkbait rod and a few more rod holders. 12v 18ah Dakota Lithium LiFePo4 battery, charger, wire clips, shrink tube & all the fixings Borika TRK150 3600 Plano Tray Roboworm Straight Tail Worm - Oxblood Red Flake & Morning Dawn Hologram Megabass Spark Shad 3" - Sight Killer Pink & Sight Chart Raid Head Swimmer Libero - 7g / Pink Trick & Ice Black Megabass Magdraft 5" - Sunshine Gill Megabass Magdraft 6” (Bassmaster Classic) - Aurora Shad (SP-C) Duo Realis Crank G87 15A - Pumpkin Craw & Ghost Minnow Berkley Money Badger - 6.25CM - Firetail Green Craw, Ghost Morning Dawn & Special Red Craw Berkely Dreger 20.5 HD Perch SK Tour Grade Dbl Willow Spinnerbait - Golden Shiner Power Pro SSV2 10 LB X 300 YD Moon Shine Braid& 40Lb X 150 Onyx
  11. Good rod, not a fan of the reel seat although I miss how it could skip a 1/4oz bait effortlessly.
  12. check out Nucanoe, almost all of their kayaks are completely open concept
  13. Picked up some Coleslaw spinnerbaits for next month, along with a 16' x 16' YakAttack BlackPak Pro, Might Mount for my net, 12" Might Mount XL for behind my seat and a 3D printed rudder handle. I need another x4 YA Tether Tubes, x2 on the side and x2 at the back to really flesh it out. Managed to get x11 3600, x1 3500 and x1 Double Deep 3700 tray with a bit of room to spare. The DD 3700 will go under my seat, filled with safety stuff, license and tools. Really looking forward to getting on the water this year, just need the weather to act right.
  14. White/Gold model is a Execeler/Fuego with more bearings, and Silver/Red model is a Procyon AL.
  15. I prefer the Double Uni because as many have said I can do it efficiently and correctly on the water, extra tricky on a kayak. I was using the blood knot for a while but never on the water, I've tried the Alberto and had a few break-offs at the knot which is probably user error or burned line. 5 wraps is the minimum for heavier line and with lighter line, I usually add a couple of extra wraps
  16. Good looking segmented swimbait, caught a couple of northerns up here on Gbay.
  17. I love my 6' 9" Medium Regular Daiwa Fuego casting rod, I use it for topwater and chatterbaits (Mini-Max), I'm thinking of getting a second for jerkbait duty. It's not whippy like a cranking rod and the backbone is good enough for an exposed single hook. You can pick up one up for dirt cheap and they're very light.
  18. Call first, don't send the whole rod back on your dime, they'll instruct you.
  19. Caught my first musky on these SlingBladez, took a chunk of the hand tied skirt but overall stayed in good shape. The Z-Man Bullzeye Gold Colorado Spinnerbait is a good slow-roll-big-thumper.
  20. For my northern brethren:
  21. Thanks for the feedback, I think they'll be a fun bait in tough conditions or when I take my daughter out to beat the bank. I caught up couple of RAID videos on YT, the rocking head motion and body roll look really good.
  22. Tim and Matt on Tactical Bassin seem to be their best reps online nowadays. It’s odd that Gussy and Cooper Gallant are both Canadian, but also sponsored by Shimano. Pure Fishing has been taking over.
  23. Shimano Zodias is now consider cheap cause it has EVA grips? I dunno about that, I've got a number of EVA grip rods, no complaints. Although my two Lew's rods with Winn Grips, lost significant tackiness from season 2 to 3.
