Flukes
I fish a fluke on a 6’10 medium fast bait casting rod most of the time. 4/0 light wire EWG t rigged always, I mainly use the original super fluke. A good way to start out fishing a fluke is a jerk jerk pause count to 10 jerk jerk pause and repeat after a wile you can change the retrieval’s and or cadence depending on what is working I think this is the basics and will get you on fish it’s still fall and the soft jerk bait is still effective but it’s getting cold soon and the hard jerk bait will come into play.

The Fall Crankbait Bite Is On!
It’s gonna be cold in Texas this year above average 2018/2019 from the yearly forecast I’ve been seeing on YouTube. And it’s gonna be dry and a warm winter for us in the west coast ? dry not a good forecast hopefully they are wrong we need the rain and snowpack.

BPS Tourney Special Baitcast Reel?
Definitely it sweet reel and JDM even better but the regular citica i is still a very good real if you can get it for 70 bucks. Why not just get the curado I it will last you forever if you take care of it the bearings are better than the citica I and the curado I should be attainable for a 100 bucks keep checking flebay.

The egg
Cool man, thanks yeah it looks pretty decent for a cheaper bait I’m gonna get it now for sure I mean why not if it works then it really doesn’t matter to me if it doesn’t have the best components or the best paint jobs plus I can change out hooks if need be but I’ll probably just fish it as is. ??

Picking a spinnerbait rod
I think you’ll do just fine with mhf I have a mhmf mojo 7 foot and I find the moderate action to be burdensome to me trying to get threw cover or using a half once spinner bait with a trailer seems the tip has to much give. I think I rather personally go with a bit stouter rod next time I’m in the market for a spinnerbait rod.

BPS Tourney Special Baitcast Reel?
I’m no diawa fan but if that’s your budget I would go with the Fuego ct that’s just going to be the most solid best bang for your money reel at sub 70$ Or the casitas but it’s not gonna last as long with its plastics frame.

The egg
Last time I was in a bps store I seen bunch of knock off bps lures some interesting like the egg I think ? it’s a wake bait anyways I ended up getting the pbs tourney pro popper I ? I’m not sure but I seen jonb catching smallies on it and swears it’s his favorite popper so I got it back in July no luck on it yet maybe next season, anyone know of a productive pbs lure? evertime I go I want to get a couple but I end up splurging on name brand stuff.

The Death of the small tackle shop
Same can be said for the mom and pop shops they also had the opportunity to invest in selling online. It’s sad though. Toys r us went down I know their not tackle but I can remember walking in toys r us way back probably 6 and looking around and thinking this is the best place on earth! I remember my dad saying pick anything you want absolutely anything I picked a big tonka truck. One of my fondest memories. I read today that Walmart is also being affected by online marketing not that I give a darn about Walmart they started this whole ordeal but even they are becoming victims of Amazon and online retailers. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/walmart-aggressively-shifting-away-legendary-shopping-format-120049155.html I guess in the near future everything will be delivered even food.

Cheap Effective Lures
Honorable mention for strikerpro very productive and cheap although I haven’t used one in some years I used to buy their baits for like 3-4$ my local tackle shop and catch a lot of fish the jerkbaits specifically they put them in the mtb boxes sometimes and they are productive.

The Fall Crankbait Bite Is On!
The picture of the lure with a bent hook that’s just classic! It needs to go with the mount. I bet you go out rite now and start throwing square bills you won’t hardly catch anything you got that giant at the perfect time perfect day and perfect moment to be throwing that specific bait. It happens like that, sometimes.
