I'm curious as to why you don't throw a wacky rig anymore?

We are all aware that an O ring can help your stick baits last longer for wacky rigging but does it also help with hook up ratio ? The conventional perpendicular hook threw the middle of the bait or the side ways hook threw the O ring parallel, does it make any difference when hooking up is one way better than the other?

When cranking you want to make sure you pay attention to the cover that you hit like branches wood or rocks you want to pause the bait to created a reaction from the fish, and it will help you to avoid snags. I love throwing square bills.

I haven't used the new caenan, I had the older one from 2012 it is a smooth casting reel cast way better than my lews lfs but it's not as strong and durable as an lfs my older caenan only lasted me two seasons but I loved that reel. I personally would trade my lfs for the new caenan any day I would take better care of it however because it is made of plastic. the lfs is a tough reel made out of an aluminum frame but I'm not happy with the magnetic brake systems I like the avs or centrifical style brakes better.

Yes, but it also depends where your at and there are some late spawners still. But for the most part it's post spawn as far as I'm concerned.

I agree with you about the blanks they are very good, niclely wrapped and strong light and sensitive.

I tie a Palomar knot, always even with florocarbon.

Try something new, you don't always have to stick to a certain brand, Powell being the case here, if you like the reviews of the bps ,the specs try it? You can always return it.

I don't like yellow, but that's not why I don't like the rods as for skeet Reese I don't know him so I can't judge the guy.I do know however is that I've held a few of those rods and I don't like them at all I think they are junk. That's my opinion, my two cents.

I remember an interview Glen did some years ago with takahiro omari I'll never forget what advice he gave, "you need to make sure your fishing in a lake that has bass in it".

I don't ever use red hooks I don't believe it matters I recently purchased a couple of baby minus ones and they came stock with red hooks? I changed them out right away. The red hooks were pretty popular a wile back they never worked for me.
