I've got that new Abu vengeance rod MF I use it for my small crank baits and square bills it's decent for that purpose only.

I do some striper fishing and personally I don't think you need a really sensitive rod like for bass I would go with an ugly stick striper rod.

I agree get the ardent seems like you have your mind set on it, then in a couple of weeks let us know what happened. Ardent makes some ugly looking reels lol

I like a weightless rage menace or rage craw for bank fishing ponds I also like throwing crank baits or pond magics. I bank fish mainly but I own more tackle than many who own boats, my brother has a boat he usually never fishes without me but I bank fish mainly.

You don't have to switch stick to spinning if you want.......there are fast gear ratio on the newer spinning gear. If you want to learn a baitcaster easy and fast, invest 100$ on a shimano you will learn in a week. Stay away from lews, shimano or diawa I'm still trying to sell my lews lfs lighter faster stronger piece of junk!

I'm not sure if any of you seen this yet but Jon b of fishing the mid west and Andrew flair just posted a video of fishing on Garry Yamamoto's private pond on his compound its super cool video.

Spinning rod is not necessary any more you can use a baitcaster for even the lightest of lures I like using a spinning rod however with my lighter or weightless lures because its more of a comfort zone thing.

Wow nice set up I also have the curado 201i on a MF rod and its my square bill rod I also throw small spinner baits and poppers.

I think for me the best results are from the original trailer that they come with also a robo worm. I don't have much success with a bulky trailer.
