That’s a really solid stream you got there. I’m jealous lol. Typically where they are, they are abundant

First Time Brook Trout Fishing - Think I'm Addicted (6-19-18)
Sounds like a great stream! 12” natives in a smaller stream are respectable fish. The big one looks to be a female, that would indicate there’s even bigger males to be caught?. where I am near the coast, besides the stocker trout, decent sized natives are very few and far between, I gotta head to the highlands to get some good ones like that. One tip would be, if you can help it, wade upstream rather than down.

How to have more fun when not catching em
When the bite is super slow I like to try out some lures that don’t get much use, practice flipping and pitching, study the lake, enjoy a cold one.. it all pays off when you have a killer day.

Boat Doesn't Drive Straight...
Exactly. My electric shallow v wouldn’t run strait at all (by myself) given my offset seat position in the front, before I added a third battery in the far rear-opposite my seat. In the mean time, a 5 gallon bucket full of water helped. (And playing with the rear trolling motor position) Even now it’s not perfect, if I’m fishing alone up front on the bow mount, it will still track a bit crooked because of the weight distribution and heavy nose.

what unpopular lure do you use?
I’d be interested in reading someone’s experience with this, it’s too goofy to catch me-the fisherman, but I guess it’s probably smaller than I think it is, and is basically this? ;

New to fishing
Yes. Not for long

On Board Chargers
You are increasing watthour capacity. For the same load, yes, you tripled the capacity. Watts are the importance here, not amps
-
On Board Chargers
Yes and no. What you’re saying is misleading. Using a 36v motor vs a 24v motor under the same conditions, (watt output) you will ABSOLUTELY get longer runtime out of the 36v. What you’re thinking of, is running both motors at the same amps. In that case you are correct, but that shouldn’t be the case in real world situations. Hypothetically, if both motors draw 300watts to go 1mph, 36v wins. Since the watt hours of a 24v system with two 100AH batteries is 2400WH 36v with same batteries is 3600WH same task=MORE CAPACITY science -Taylor Master Electrician

How much would you spend on a rod and/or reel?
I’ve spent a lot more on beer and cigarettes over the years than the 50 rods on my racks. There’s worse ways you can spend your money

Washington County Maine Fishing
Can’t help you with the location, but... There is no seperate fishing license for trout, one license does it all for fresh water. And last I knew it was either $1.00 extra or now comes with salt water fishing. Take @BassB8casters advice on searching ponds and lakes, Along with using your google maps of the area. if the pond has bass, chances are that is has perch and sunfish ready to bite. Worst case, go out at at dark with or without a bobber and catch some huge 8” Hornpout!

Out of state boat in Maine?
Edit; You do need a “milfoil sticker” though. That crossed my mind after, so I checked. https://www.maine.gov/ifw/fishing-boating/boating/protection-sticker.html also your registration numbers should be visible from both sides.. good luck!

Frustrated New Member in Nevada
So there is no bass? If your trying to catch brown trout, Try 2.5” Berkley gulp minnows on a small jighead. Cast out, let it fall, jig and twitch it back toward you. Set the hook strait up, not to the side. I’m nowhere near Nevada, but this produces tons of trout for me, and any other species in the water. Also, small spoons and inline spinners if you haven’t tried that. Small worms.. definately check the stocking reports, the ponds may get fished out rather quickly, and you can’t catch em if they aren’t there. I assume they stock them in the winter? I doubt they would survive much past spring in the desert heat.

new lake fishing,Headwaters.
Enjoy the solitude while it lasts! But I’m glad to hear they finally figured out the boat ramp situation. When I was down there this March, we talked to the biologist and they’re already catching double digits. That place is goin to be SLAMMED when it’s finally open.
