  1. Buy the Symetre and you won't look back. 8-)
  2. The Baby Bass is a fantastic lure, but it has to be fished in the right place at the right time. Stick with it and you will be rewarded. 8-)
  3. WOW! Fine fish, nice pic and great story! 8-)
  4. Geez... Who thunk that up? "Yeah, let's replay some 26 year old baseball games." How long is it until the new owners take over?
  5. The perfect example of buying quality products at a great price. Thanks for the heads-up, I hope everyone here takes advantage of this sale. 8-)
  6. Welcome aboard! Here are some ideas: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1143177139 8-)
  7. That's ridiculous. A trap is for catching fresh bait. You can't catch them now and keep them for winter. Before implementing your plan, get on the net and do a little research. 8-)

    Welcome aboard! 8-)
  9. The membership here has a strong bias towards "Catch & Release". Posting bass on a stringer or in your kitchen doesn't work very well. This is not a "rule", just a friendly suggestion. -Kent a,k,a, roadewarrior Global Moderator
  10. Well, start out with a dozen or two until you have some experience keeping them alive. Blue gills and minnows are fairly easy, shad are not. If the water is reasonably cool, you can keep them confined in the lake, pond or river, but you are still going to need a portable aerator if you transport them any distance. 8-)
  11. The minnows come into the trap through the larger opening, not the little bitty holes in the lid. 8-)

  13. Fisherman's Paradise? Do you know a guide named Cuda? I have had the pleasure of fishing with him on a couple of trips. My favorite times were fishing for bull reds with crabs on our own equipment. I fished a G.Loomis MBR844C/ Shimano CTE200GT. Those fish were 30+ lbs and 100% of what my gear could handle. Man, that was fun! 8-)
  14. After so many years of drought, I would welcome and enjoy the rain. :
  15. The 843 gives you more flexibility. You can still fish light lures, but I suspect your average weight is greater than you think. A 1/4 oz jig with a trailer is going to approach 1/2 oz. 8-)
  16. Welcome aboard! Sounds like you decided to step right up to the plate. I'm sure you will like your new rig. Good luck! 8-)
  17. I don't think it makes any difference, but a quick fix is nail polish. 8-)
  18. I moved this so you might get more response from the walley guys, not because it was in the wrong section, which it wasn't. The guys on fishing shows all seem to be using a softer rod for trolling, Moderate or Slow Action. That gives the bait some give when the walley strike. I suspect "setting the hook" is pulling the bait out of the fishes mouth. I don't recall anyone setting the hook on TV, just maintaing pressure and reeling, hard! -Kent a.k.a. roadwarrior Global Moderator
  19. Good to here from you! -Kent
